M3/M4 [Official] 2021 BMW M3 and M4 [G80 & G82]

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

That is so f ugly. But it performs excellent, and more importantly it has the BMW badge, so it will sell like hot rabbits. Just unfortunate that the Touring will come for first time based on the one and only ugly M3.

It has magnificent presence. Nothing else like it.
The retro-typical seventies-eighties BMW bonnet flares is a particular genius design element.
You must like the Lexus LX. Unbeatable presence.

With natural light, many design features are more noticeable, such as the widened front fender, these and many other details according to what I see here, will be much more appreciated in person

Just add the licence plate , and it will get worse...

This is a very ugly car.

The grille is grotesque, the greenhouse is too tall, the air intakes are ugly and fake and the lack of a Hoffmeister kink is a serious failure for a BMW.

The lack of the Hoffmeister kink makes the car look like an Audi A5.

So as usual the M Performance kitted versions are looking good in white, but who the hell designed that sadomasochistic vinyl wrapped Fast and Furious red and black riced out version

The 20" front tyres on this Performance M3 Comp are as wide as those fitted to the F90 at the rear! The rears are wider still, giving the rear even more presence than before.
Does anyone know what OEM tyres this will be running?

Michelin Pilot 4 Sport. They offer a substantial improvement in grip over Pilot Sport Sport in wet and damp conditions.

It is already on display at the BMW Welt, I'm going to see it, I just have to cross the Atlantic, if there is someone else nearby, can take advantage.

I was going to put you a "drama queen" "disagree" "dislike post" all together but there are no more negative ratings in GFC, (what happened mods?) So now it only remains to fight with each other by writing?

Ah "Mostly Peaceful" Seal Clubbing followed by. "Mostly Peaceful" Whale Culling" then a historic maiden voyage of a "Mostly Peaceful" Zeppelin accident. Followed by the "Mostly Peaceful" E65. All this inciteful division eh? :p:ROFLMAO:

I maintain that if E65 was launched today the public would be far more warmer and de-sensitivised to its (then) dramatic but modern appearance.

Bugger. I was there literally 24 hours ago. I just missed it.

Jesus, lighten up and have a sense of humour, for God's sake. BMW are clearly aiming for the new M3/M4 to create "discussion" and have an "impact", so don't whine when people do exactly what BMW want.

M4 in Sao Paulo Yellow.

So, my thoughts. I saw the standard 4er Coupe yesterday for the first time, at the BMW Welt in Munich. They had an example in Arctic Race Blue, and Dravit Grey. Neither looked particularly good. The issue isn't even the grill, which I don't mind. The coupe has bigger issues, such as the sheet metal above the rear wheels, and the look from the rear straight on. So I don't see how the M version will not suffer from the same problems.

The fact that it's replacing one of the most beautiful designs of the last 20 years, the F82 M4, makes the new design even harder to swallow.

I've owned an M3/M4 Coupe for the last three generations, but I'm pretty sure I won't be making it four-in-a-row. At £80,000 with a few options in the UK, I think BMW will have to offer some pretty heavy discounts to shift them too, what with it combined with the biggest financial crisis of the last 60 years also. I have a VERY distant eye on an M3 Touring eventually, and in an unprecedented turn of events, my wife has already offered her (unrequested) advice on the exterior colour, and it's...Isle of Man Green.

After taking some time I can definitely say I prefer the M3, which outside of the grille is a really awesome looking car. I'm really hoping the front end works better in person. I really dislike the M4 however and don't think it works from any angle. I saw this on another forum and I really wish BMW had gone in this direction:

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
