Kia [Official] 2017 Kia Stinger

Kia, formerly Kyungsung Precision Industry and Kia Motors Corporation, is a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1944, it is South Korea's second-largest automobile manufacturer, after its parent company, Hyundai Motor Company. Official website: Kia
If the price is right and the drive is good, I can see myself in this car when it's time for a new car. I'm certainly going to test one, would be stupid not to.

Former BMW M - Albert Biermann has his hands in this car.

Exactly. Choice is good and between this and the Giulia it's healthy for customers to have rear wheel options outside of the three Germans.

My concerns is the interior. It's well styled like a Camero and Mustang interior but might be plastic fantastic.

In the press release they are bragging about the larger wheelbase and greater width over anight A4 or 3-Series which is good for value but not so much for sportiness. Kia are probably banking on winning a good volume of business lease customers.

"Describing Kia’s latest creation, Biermann said: “I think for the Kia brand, the Stinger is a special event because no one expects such a car — not just the way it looks, but also the way it drives. It’s a whole different animal.”

Speaking to Autocar in Detroit, Biermann described the car as an excellent all round gran turismo car rather than an out and out track car. "It's a really sporty car but still a good all rounder. It has a high handling level but is still comfortable and has a spacious interior." Stability was also key part of the GT's appeal, he said, and the confidence it inspired when you pushed it. Biermann said that he hoped the Stinger GT would have an impact on the handling of the rest of the Kia range. "We're on the way to do that, we already have some good handling cars and are on the way to doing more.

Biermann said the GT had been one of the key reasons he switched to Kia from BMW. "There's this car and a few others. I thought 'wow, what an interesting challenge'. I wanted to get them dancing, complete and fun to drive. It was still a concept when I joined, but I guided it. Such a car you never leave alone, you babysit it."

His career took a deep dive then. Sad ;)

From BMW M to Kia. I wouldn't do it even if they paid me 10 times as much.
It's like those talented football players in their 20s who go to China to play and cash in: NEVER.

If you read the post above yours , he explains why he did the change.

It looks quite good indeed, but I work too damn hard to not end up driving a KIA.

:D
From the initial impressions, I would have no issues driving this around. I will definitely test it out when it launches in Australia.

It looks descent. Hopefully it will be cheap enough.
Australian prices starts at mid $40k for the turbo 4 cylinder, and goes up to $55k for the twin turbo V6. Have to say it offers a lot of performance in a very attractive package.
