A6/S6/RS6 [Official] 2014 AUDI RS6 Avant !!

On this occasion it takes the alloy pack to lift the RS6 because without it this red one looks kind of boring from the front.

Looks cartoonishly evil here.

Haha they should have put the grandma/pa in the driver's seat... would have been even more so.

That is no other than Dr. Ferdinand Piech, VW-Group supervisory board chairman, in the passenger seat.

Yes, and its his wifes car (Ursula, like the license plate suggests). Rumor says she had a great influence on having the RS6 out in the open so fast :)

That's one good looking tourer, no doubt about that. BMW has homework to do for the F11 M5.

Compared to the new MB E63 AMG released today the RS6 appears slow. Not only it is one tenth of a second slower to 62 mph than the 557 hp model but it is two tenths slower compared to the the 585 hp model.

Audi should now consider a quick release of the "RS6 Plus" model

I really can't belive that you used the word "slow" here. The RS6 3,9 s time is factory. Audi has a history of going much faster with their S/RS models. I bet that the RS6 will be just as quick as the E63 585hp version.

The car hasn't got out of the roads properly yet, and you are talking about a "plus" model? Oh c'mon.

However The MB has released the "Plus" model immediately with the release of the regular performance model. Maybe this is the way to go for Audi if it wants to get rid of it slightly inferior prestige status compared to MB.

Previous gen RS6 model was way more powerful compared to the competition.

I still think Audi should have a 600 hp Plus version out as quickly as possible.

I think you will have to eat your words when you see the performance of the RS6 when the tests starts.

And no, there wont be any "plus" version.

Unfortunate for Lambo that VAG thinks these vertical bars are the new way to go for Audi aswell.
And on top of that its extra sad since its not a particularly flattering design feature imo..

^
I think Audi will build the RS6 Plus. Because there is C5 Plus, and there is C6 Plus editions. But lets wait.

^I can't recall whether the C6 RS6plus actually have any more power than the standard model though it was hinted it would. Though if a new version comes it will need to pack more of a punch because now it's main rivals are equally as powerful.

The RS4 Avant was the first VAG car to have the vertical bars. Long before the facelift of the Gallardo.

They shouldnt have done it on the Lambos then.. looks fine on the RS6

^The C6 RS6 "Plus" wasn't given a power increase.

The "Plus-version" doesn't have to mean always power increase. You get more topspeed or it's limited edition, just like the RS6 C6 Plus is. And that topspeed you don't even get by factory, if the RS6 C6 is standard-model.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
