A3/S3/RS3 [Official] 2014 Audi A3/S3 Sedan

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
^Tell me when was the last time you spoke to a sales person at a dealer that knew a tenth of what you knew. They don't want their staff to be knowledgeable all they want is people who can sell cars and that isn't necessarily the same thing.

^One of our managers had an A3 2.0TFSI S/Line at the same time as the wife had her MK6 GTI and my honest opinion was that the GTI felt the more special of the two. The S/Line didn't separate itself from the rest of the range like the GTI does.

I will be checking both out myself when they are avaialable in the US. I had a MK5 and MK6 GTI consecutively so maybe I just want something different, while still being somewhat the same/familiar.

Who knows.

I don't know that I have ever met a sales person at a dealership that knew as much about the product as I did. They just need to be nice and friendly to sell cars. The people that sell cars are the same folks that would sell electronics or furniture or something. They aren't 'car people' too often in my experience.

And frankly, I don't need them to be. If I am at your lot in the first place, I already know enough about the product. I just need them to let me drive it and prepare the paperwork. Nothing more. They don't 'sell' me, they simply facilitate the sale.

I've been offered a phantom black s3 sedan with black styling package in June. Would you guys happen to have seen photos of such a car?

^I take it from the above pictures you've decided to wait for the blue.;)

If so I can't blame you it does look amazing in those pics.

I don't want the Phantom Black with black styling I've decided. It's just too much Black. And our A1 is already Phantom black.

I've even started questioning if it's worth waiting for Sepang Blue. I do love it, but I also really like Panther Black. It might even suit me more. A bit more understated, yet still mesmerising in the sun. It's probably also a classier, less showy choice.

I've asked the dealer to try and source me a Panther Black car and dealer swap it with their Phantom Black one.

If I don't have a confirmed build date for Sepang by the end of the month, I'm going to cancel the deal. 3 1/2 months for a build date on an Audi A3 is just not on.

@Mr. Mercedes my friend. I have the A3 Sedan in dark blue for a night and a day for photoshooting. Let me know if there is anything you wonder, wanna see. Thanks

Don't think I saw the S3 on the road yet, but I saw several at the dealerships, all were Sepang.
I do see the regular A3 sedan a lot driving around, but the color blue on the regular car is a bit different..Nice too but less striking. Not sure if the S3 is even out yet, I would have seen it.

The whole Sepang Blue ordeal is just BS.

- I placed my order mid January and the colour was an 'exclusive' colour and charged accordingly.
- The colour was listed as a standard colour on the German website at the end of March and went into production at the end of March.
- Audi Australia confirmed at the end of March that it would become a standard paint option as of MY15, or cars built from the last week of May onwards
- I have still not received a build date, even though builds for other colours ordered after mine have been allocated builds, and there are a list of Sepang Blue Australian orders waiting for a build.
- The colour has of this week disappeared from the German website.
- Audi UK just announced this week that it will become a standard colour in the UK as of MY15, or cars built from the last week of May onwards.

What the hell is going on? Neither Audi Australia nor my dealer can give me any more insight into what is happening with Sepang Blue orders for Australia.

I have since told the dealer I will gladly accept a Panther Black car or Glacier White car that is already built and on the way. They are now searching for a vehicle that matches my specifications as any unsold stock is quickly getting snapped up. I'm feeling HUGE dissatisfaction towards Audi and if this is not resolved within the next 48 hours I am cancelling the order. F them. But this is not how you deal with your customers. If there was a delay with Sepang Blue orders, this should have been flagged from the onset and we should have been given a choice of changing the colour or waiting.

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
