Accord [Official] 2013 Honda Accord

The Honda Accord, also known as the Honda Inspire in Japan and China for certain generations, is a series of automobiles manufactured by Honda since 1976, best known for its four-door sedan variant, which has been one of the best-selling cars in the United States since 1989. The Accord nameplate has been applied to a variety of vehicles worldwide, including coupes, station wagons, hatchbacks and a Honda Crosstour crossover.
Idk about this one, but the Camry is better than the Accord in all the points you just mentioned.

Well, I haven't driven the current gen Camry, but if the previous gen. is anything to go by, and I don't see why it would be so off as they are pretty similar, it felt more isolated than the Accord. No doubt, it was a smooth ride, but the Accord had a bit more steering feel and a bit more precise. Again, it was no sports car, but the it felt better weighted and it felt just wee bit more sprightly. Mind you, these were the 4-cyl. versions.

But you're right, the Camry hits all those points, except IMO, the drive is a bit better sorted out in the Accord.

Proper images of unmodified 6th-gen european Accords are few and far between on the internet, but if you can find an image, it was a seriously good-looking car

Here in Australia we get the american and the euro version of the Accord, the american is simply called Accord, and the other one is called Accord Euro. Even after 9 years the design of the 6th gen still look fresh

Wow..So a Japanese company sells a car called the American in Australia? You learn something new everyday. That looks like our TSX Acura.

Oh no, what I meant was the american version of the accord is simply called the Accord in Australia, the European Accord is called the Accord Euro.

Is that AMG wannabe front bumper standard?!

Great, now the AMG look will be even more further diluted. M-B's probably gonna be forced to change that iconic front bumper look and risk messing it up.

You and I see it because we look at an AMG E everyday. The front bumper it a total rip of an AMG pack E-class.

Exactly. I look at the front of my E all the time, and the *bumper* (not grille) of the new Accord is literally a full fledged reminder of the E AMG Sport bumper. The only thing it's missing is the two protruding bumps at each side (right under the headlights). It also uses that chrome/plastic/silver or whatever it is detached middle insert that we see on recent AMG bumper'd cars.

If the Honda Accord was a direct rival to the E-class, then that might be something worth being upset about. I'm sure no one in the right mind will say "Oh that Honda Accord looks just like the E-class...I don't want it now".

Unfortunately it's going to happen. Car makers borrow form other car makers all the time. Even Benz has done it. Nothing to moan and complain about it. Some of you go on and on about it like it's going to increase world hunger. Yes the front might favor the e-class and the rear lights have the Hyundai Genesis shape, but why post about the same thing every 5 minutes.

This thread is filled with countless diss to Honda because people "think" they know what Honda should be and look like. Until you all actually own or run a car company, your opinions are just that opinions not facts.

I think some of us get so caught up in the wonderful world of S-classes and 5 series that we hold that standard to every other car company. People will use to this car to get from point A to B. Same thing I use my Honda for. We don't need to be flashy or noticed. That job belongs to the CLS and 6.

Either way for all those who have dedicated countless hours bad mouthing the Honda Accord...This one is for you!

When you spend $60K on an E-Class and a $20K Accord shows up biting your front end, of course you're gonna be peeved about it. Nobody's saying that it makes the Accord an equivalent to an E-Class, however vision doesn't lie.

And I personally have shopped for and owned Midsize economy Sedans WHILE owning what is considered the staple of the Midsize Luxury Sedan, so I definitely know what I expect from each and don't expect an Accord to be a head turner, nor flashy, nor something that rivals the E Class or 5-Series. I just don't like when the cheaper segment cars bite off of more expensive segment cars. It's a "cheap shot", per-se. Many successful economy cars have had relatively original styling.

Honda could have come up with something more original, simply put.

Lol...Hyundai owners could say the same thing about the E-class, but they didn't.

I don't hear anything about Mercedes-Benz suing Honda, so it must be okay with them.

I doubt it's okay with them, with the way car companies steal designs from each other, it seems they can't just outright sue. And the E actually didn't really steal anything from Hyundai (and Hyundai owners I'm sure would flatter their cars with whatever bit of copying they could muster to assume from), not the lines on the side, nor the classic M-B grille, nor the quad headlights, nor the AMG bumpers, nor the Ponton fender crease, nor the taillights (which may be what you're referring to) as they are descendants of the classic M-B taillight look (W126 and before that, W210, etc.). Hyundai has pretty much copied everything off of M-B. The Genesis tried to look like a W221, and the Sonata is a total CLS knockoff.

Hyundai and M-B's designs are getting so close in terms of their models coming out now, it's getting harder and harder to pinpoint just who is bringing stuff out first. But when the W212 came out, it was before the Sonata even, so there really were no Hyundai's before it that bear'd even a remote resemblance.

.

So you own an F10 5 series, what model? Strike that, I just noticed the word luxury!;)

So we can't give an opinion nor critize Honda because we don't own the company. I see

I'm not a fan of Honda. I own one.

Secondly, everyone has a right to their opinion. The issue is the constant moaning about the same thing. State your opinion and be done with it. There is no need for 20 post explaining why the rear lights look like Hyundai. It simply isn't needed. The same goes for any other thread. It doesn't add value at all.

And it isn't the same when people keep praising a car? Does it add value?

You have to understand people will have differents opionions, some in favor, some against (which is a great thing, we wouldn't like monotony, don't we?), is time you learn to live with opinions that differ from yours.

Deal with it.

Pointless argument! You complain several times about the same thing is stupid. That is a fact.

Secondly, I don't have to "Deal with it" thanks to a simple button called ignore.

So until you post something of value, you don't even exist.
