X3/X4 [Official] 2011 BMW X3

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
Their other SUV's with GLK wheel arches and Audi interior/front headlights. Talk about orginality.

Isn't Audi interior design (driver oriented) a mimicry of preBangle BMW interiors? Frontlights: Z3, E36 3-series anyone? Wheel arch: X5 E53, anyone? I wouldn't call a usage of preBangle design elements on new BMW cars a copy of Audi or MB design.

:t-hands:

Yeah I'd say the X5 has more of a swollen fender flare, as opposed to the X3's more currently trendy fender-to-back crease.

And of course because they share a Bloodline and is an extended member of the family . The new sharper look all leads into...

Whoa! New 3'er front? That looks good, MUCH MUCH better than the current's weak front. That actually looks a bit better than the F10's perhaps, although I do like the F10's smoother edged headlights as well, but this is just sharp for a BMW front.

...into a photoshop????
You're not going to reveal the 3er front, so the chop you posted is all sorts of wrong, like all the million chops we've seen of the X3 that were similar to the real car, but oh-so-wrong...

:usa7uh:

That F30 rendering is the closest rendition to the new 3er than any other we have seen. With many having the correct information regarding the look but applying it incorrectly.
My point was that the sharper design elements will be shared across the 3er portfolio.

Another Reason for the X3.

BMW X4 - don't rule it out - Confidential

It's coming...

On the Belgian BMW website they refer already to the 3.0d engine. They talk about 258hp (eu-spec), 0-100km/h in 6.0 seconds and 160gr/km CO2. Available as from the second quarter of 2011.
So apparently the current 3.0d gets a power upgrade.

Since 2004 we have sold over 600,000 BMW X3 models , The car that started the premium segment for mid-class Sport Activity Vehicles.
If the new car continues the success of the old model we can possibly see the 1 millionth X3 sooner rather than later.

In the design process for the F25 , We learned that customers like the strong solid , robust exterior so the decision was made to progress the original look in which with the more dynamic roof line towards the rear bringing a more cohesive look to the glasshouse than the E83.
The upswept rear quarterlight window is now a typical X Characteristic. X1 has it as does X6 and now the X3 and the few sketches for the next X5 showcase it too. Overall the car was reverse engineered it was always a question of removing the areas that hindered the car and fine tuning and progressing what did do well, in light of the competition from Audi and Mercedes-Benz.

M-Sport although not available until this time next year enahances the looks for a more dynamic appearance. We will also have a BMW Performance Packet for the X3 because it is a more sporting ethusiast SAV. An M. Model is not considered at this time, But would possibly inherit the engine from the 1M.
But marketing are looking towards an iS instead. Active Hybrid model with full hybrid will also be available eventually.
The bolded text is very good news!!!:eusa_danc

Personally I like the new X3 very much besause the exterior combines the succesful past (previous X3) with the future (X5, X6, X1)

And if BMW offers reasonable prices the new X3 could be a best seller!
ofcurse luxury is not affordable for everyone but I believe that financial problems affected all of us and with a competitive price X3 can take customers for other brands (not only from Audi and Mercedes) and become the best selling SUV of the market!! :usa7uh:
X5 is too big, X6 is too different and X1 is too small... X3 is just the perfect size and ideal for small streets of the cities and for travelling large distances! it is perfect for a 30year old and for an older one, for a man and for a woman...! the target group is nearly unlimited!

I am waiting to see photos from other exterior colors!!:)

But weird here:

I don't know why people are saying interior is typical BMW copy, when it looks very Audish.

I have to agree. Looks almost of Buick quality in this photo. The front and rear look good, but that side profile is kind of iffy.

After watching the videos, I find the front looks pretty good actually... only exception is the front 3/4 view. There's something that bugs me in that view.

consistent with it's "sporting" nature, any chance that we'll see a manual or at least a dct in any iteration? and rwd?

Oh god..
the front is bad..very bad..its flat nosed..and slow looking..
what a freakin shame..

Do not like the side either..windows look to large and that line is just weak!!!

The rear is best in class along with the XC60.. lovely:)

Interior is boring..same ol BMW of the shelf stuff..

All in all 5/10.. should sell well, given the last one sold alot and it was much worse looking..
But on the other hand there is X1 and X5.. plus new competition..

Lets hope BMW dont make more X cars now.. enough is enough..

Amen. Horrible front.
