911 (997) Official: 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 (997 MkII)

The Porsche 997 is the sixth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car manufactured and sold by the German automobile manufacturer Porsche. It was sold between 2004 (for the 2005 model year) and 2013.
I would bet on Nissan too, they're obsessed with generating the superior numbers, not the superior driving experience. Nissan will tout the better numbers, no matter how robotic and unatural the car feels.

Notice too that the funky little yellow stripe in the alcantara steering wheel to denote steering position is gone. Also, a regular, smooth leather steering wheel can be ordered as a no-cost option.

The colour of the plastic inserts in the centre console is apparently called "Volcano Grey". Really now. "Ordinary Black" is more the case.

Sometimes I do wonder how can they come up with names like that and actually have them approved.

If I remember well, this yellow stripe was only giving the ultimate sporty touch to the GT3 RS. The GT3 did have an Alcantara wheel, but without that stripe.

The new, blackened with some chromes center console looks much better than the previous one, and is less messy too. I agree with you for the name though... Well that's marketing...:D

Maybe it's made out of true Volcano bits to underline the outlandish character of the car?:D Doesn't look like that but you never know...:D

The (VW) GPS is said to be very good, too, unlike the outgoing one...

The steering wheel's not bad, but I feel it's the kind who is much more impressive IRL.

I LOVE that car. Perfection.

I think you could be right on the steering wheel stripe thing. But, I really do remember seeing regular GT3's with it? Was it a no-cost option? Did it perhaps come with Sport Chrono? Somebody please...? Memory fades...

Yes, the blackened centre console trim is much more handsome and classy despite the ridiculous name.
