CLS [Official] 2010 Mercedes-Benz CLS

The Mercedes-Benz CLS (initially called the CLS-Class) is a series of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from December 2003 to August 2023. The original model was a four-door sedan based on the Mercedes E-Class platform, marketed as a four door coupé. An estate (shooting brake) model was later added to the model range with the second generation CLS.
I can agree with you.. but don't you think that "low key" and a four dour coupe don't work together very well? I mean, when most people see both cars, which one do you think they are more likely to buy :) People who are looking to buy an extravagant car, which is what a 4 door coupe should be, are not looking for low key

Not necessarily. I think since the CLS's lines are SO fussy this time around, some people will want a "purer" design in the 4-Door Coupe proportions. It also seems the A7's aggression comes from different design elements then the CLS's does. Also, I don't know how time will fare on the CLS's upward door crease.

Speaking for myself, I'd take the CLS without question though, just more for me for a variety of reasons.

Looking great again over there. I'm back in for the moment. Jekyll and Hyde! Lol.

Just a handful of days left before I see it in person!

That will be epic! Will it have the new twin turbo V8, or the old 525 hp version like the E63?

The new CLS 63 AMG will be powered by the new V8 unit. But it will use a detuned version of the engine, that delivers 525 hp DIN (the output standard for Europe) or 518 hp SAE (the output standard for USA). But, don't worry, this is just the silence before the big storm...

LATEST EDIT: Mind also the Performance Pack for the CLS 63 AMG, which offers 558 hp (DIN)/550 hp (SAE).

This is absolutely nonsense. One thing is to launch a new model with an existing engine (as the current E63) and wait till the FL to introduce the brand new one. Bu this is so much different. Why use an engine that can produce up to 570 hp and detune it to 550?. And it´s not marketing (like the 535d with 299 hp vs the 740d with 306 hp), this is a real detune, as the torque is also lower.

Mercedes should aim to have the most powerful enignes, yet the most efficients aswell, no to par their engine with the BMW ones 3 year later.

God thats a sleek mofo..
Im glad they didnt give it the normal beefy AMG treatment..
Looks muscular..sleek and sexy:)

Exactly! I worried it was gonna look like the AMG package. My heart started beating faster when I saw the first pictures and that hasn't happened in a while.

Just wow. And I thought the normal CLS was enough.

The worst part on the car is the rear. No photos from the back?

Don't know what you talkin' bout :D

It's coming soon...

I`d be torn between the CLS550 and the 63. The sport-package looks just as great. On top of that it will be offered with 4-Matic.
