A8/S8 Next Generation Audi A8 (D4) Spy pics & info.

I really, really hope they don't do a cut and paste for the next A8. That would be a huge slap in the face to the current car and huge bump in the road for Audi's plans of world dominance IMO.

I don't really get where you are coming from. When the A5 came out, ok great. Then the A4 came out, and imo it's an A5 with 4 doors. How many people were actually surprised, I mean seriously? Now that this is potentially the new A8, am I the only one that isn't shocked like some of you guys?

Now to clear things out, I think these cars look better than their elders so it's not all bad I don't think (I might be a minority here). If you asked me: What do you think the A8 would look like considering the new A4 and Audi's "trend". I would have imagined something pretty damn close to these pictures, although the rear lights I didn't see coming.

Now, while these pictures might be real (probably are) the details are obviously missing so take it with a grain of salt. Imo, there's no way Audi leaked these on purpose. BMW's got the new 7er for Paris, MB's got the S hybrid and facelift in the future... what does Audi gain from showing a few crappy pre-production pics? Doesn't steal thunder from anyone

What is there not to get? I don't want the next A8 to look like an enlarged/elongated A4/A5. Simple as that. If it does it will be a letdown to the current car IMO. That is just my take on the situation. I would hope they wouldn't do that, but I'm not arguing that they wouldn't. Ultimately we wont know until the car is released.

The car in those pics is horrible and not real IMO. They certainly aren't leaked press pictures, nor are they corporate sketches. Why so many here think they've seen the real finished product is beyond me.

I think those pics are real, the level of setail in the center console picture and the whole feel of it looks genuine.
If so, then i'm very disappointed because it doesn't look different or unique enough from the current A8.
The front looks like 120% zoomed A4 on steroids.
The back reminds me of the buick lucerne

The interior is a mess in this shots. The screen is nearly broken and the controls are pointed straight upwards, not to mention that the climate control buttons are too close to whatever that is above them. You couldn't even use them being that close together.

The fact that it is a stretched and puffed A4 should tell you that it isn't the real thing, and that it is more what someone (not being Audi) came up with on a Saturday afternoon.

The grille is way, way overdone and much to gaudy to be an Audi, especially a non S/RS Audi. The hood screams Volvo S80.

What you have here is what someone thinks will be the next A8, not acutal "leaked pictures" or some early press material that Audi intentionally "leaked".

If it turns out that this is the real car and Audi turns the A8 into this goofly, ill-shaped concoction I'll be going with BMW's 7-Series as my runner up.

The interior is OBVIOUSLY a mock up/pre-production if this is indeed a real picture. I'm not sure if it was the same magazine that had pictures of the 7er's interior long before it was released. That was a pre-production dashboard as well with suspect material/aka mock up and it was spot on to what the real interior turned out to be.

Would you have said the same thing if you found out the A4 is an elongated A5 with 4 doors? I'm not trying to argue with you, but I don't understand why this is so impossible to have the A8 be an oversized A4... which imo isn't a complete catastrophe.

Well clearly the MMI you saw is different in the Audi top model then. To set it apart from the rest perhaps.

I can't believe there are people questioning even the interior pics we saw.... There is NO fan-artist in the world that can think of such a detailed interior. If I am 90% sure the exterior is real, I am 110% sure the interior is real.

What you don't seem to grasp is that I don't believe it. Now if you have inside information lets have it otherwise you're just guessing with rumors in hand. Like I stated above I'll await the official pics and if they look like these then I'll be the first to admit you and others were right. Then I will promptly downgrade my opinion of Audi.
