X5 New X5 E70 spy pictures (and videos) - part 2

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

ya see, those sides were cleverly taped but without it shows flaming surface just like on the 3 series sedan and coupé with a long cut along the sides. This car will rock, I am now more certain than ever.

Yeah, it's good to see the flame surfacing on the new X5. The side looks really good with it!

What do you mean? The X5 has always had a crease on it's side.

and WCF are well-known for being correct all the time. dont trust anything on interent until its officiall from BMW.

You know, it's funny how anytime I have an inckling of doubt over a soon-to-be released BMW, BMW never fail to prove me wrong and deliver a very appealing vehicle.

I take back any doubtful and skeptical comments I made over the upcomming X5, because these spyshots show a stunning vehicles. Yes, i know it's still camoed, but the trend with BMW's (and most other cars) is that once the camo comes off, the vehicle only gets better.... so I can't wait to see new X5 undressed.
Might end up being SeX5 if it's that damn appealing. ;)

That little yet sharp crease in the headlight cover is something very cool, and glad to see that the flared wheel arches remain. This car is one pissed off mutha*****!!
Shudder to think what the iS version will look like in a few years. Right now you could replace me with the dog in Pavlov's famous experiment!

Anyone else notice how weird (not in a bad way) the hood is?! I just noticed this today. It's almost like it came out of the 6er.

This car is going to be great. It's looking better and better as the camo comes off.

Yeah, it looks like the hood is being placed on top, rather than being integrated with the rest of the car. Looks awesome, and it has a 6er feeling to it indeed!

That's why it's smart to wait for the tape to start coming off. I can't believe I just noticed such a big design cue today, the camo definitely did its job :D

not every crease is the same. This one is much deeper and flamed, like on the 3 series.
As I've said before, the sides are much more flamed than tape showed. Now details are showing one at a time.

Guys, we are getting closer.

Recall my words about E70 when watching new spy pics - to imagine the details more clearly.

as planned :D

also expect facelifted X3, E93 3er cabrio & new MINI to be announced in the weeks near E70 press release (July & August & September), and then PR for M5 touring, 3dr 1er & RR Corniche are also soon to come.

Regarding E70 again - a reminder: the car is very sharp & agressive, trust me. Flame surfacing is present & heavily used. It has the general shape similar to E53 (evolution) but its stance is also close to XC90 & Cayenne. The car looks much more sleeker, longer & lower than the E53, yet still very beefy. Very sporty & agile. Not so chuby as E53. The car is a true stunner. Wait for official pics. As you can see the latest press pics are a lot better - BMW have hired some experts for digital rendering a few months ago.

Eni I thought we were going to get some sort of press release every week for the next few weeks untill its reveal? :t-hands:

so did I. It was Scott's plan but nothing is happening. He is just too busy. He's promised to deliver new texts soon.

Mind that the "Change the rules" texts are unofficial, not an official campaign by BMW AG marketing dept.!!!

Ahh ok cool, thanks! I thought it was an official BMW marketing strategy. lol :D

Enilab, Hi!
1. Will the E70 have the LED tailights like the E46 M3?
2. Any indication of head-up display?

PS: Hi! first post here but some of you (including Scott) have talked to me on other boards.
