New Audi A9 coming?

Although it is very difficult to determine a lot from the teaser, I wonder if there will be a hint of the next generation Panamera in the A9?

No worries klier. I know like most around here that you prefer bimmers, as did I for most of my life. I really don't understand why Scott27 feels the need to disparage the other German car manufacturers however. His feedback outside of BMW threads are usually very transparent.

Little better renders:

What does the Metropolis have to go through still? Whenever there is a luxury car/concept approaching, it is (mis)used for crazy illustrations.

That is indeed a very good question.

I would speculate that the Panamera series II will be a more "athletic" car. Immediately identifyable as a Porsche-and thus "Teutonic" in nature. Random bits of chatter indicate that Audi will adopt a more "technical-with a bit of British oppulence/Italian flamboyance" route. Whatever on Earth that may actually mean.

Audi is really in a difficult position, not only but particularly, design-wise .... I've seen great and courageous proposals under Egger's regimen. This one will be neither, imo.

^There are much worse fetishes like, say, exhaust pipes ..... (still, I can't help but think of Tim Minchin: "....But, instead, in the morning, when my wife is gone, I find myself back on sexyshutlines.com .....")

I was very excited about this car but now I don't know. The little bit we can see looks like a more elegant Ford Fusion...

Either that or a 4-door Mustang, going by that pic. Still can't wait to see it though.

Although the car is veiled, it appears to exhibit proportions that I have always wanted to see in Audis.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
