So about a week ago we finally said goodbye to mums W204 C200K after 7 years of faultless service (picked up in September 2008). It was truly sad to see this car go as it was a brilliant ownership experience from start to finish. Undoubtedly a return to form for Mercedes as the car never failed to impress with its level of comfort, refinement, luxury and fualtess service.

But all good things must come to an end and the sale of the W204 made way for a new C250 W205. After 2 days I am astounded by what a leap this car is over the W204. Mum's car is absolutely exemplary in terms of finish and perceived build quality and the car feels at least 1.5 generations ahead of the W204 in terms of refinement, luxury, interior design, technology etc.

Many safe miles!

LOL. It is very odd Gian. I've been on a mission to get my family and extended family into Benzes, yet I drive an Audi. :ROFLMAO:

The count is:
10 Mercedes
4 Lexus (1 RX is leaving in January being replaced by a Mercedes GLC)
1 BMW
1 Audi

Thank you for all the kind words fellas! I'll write a better review when I've become a bit more accustomed to the vehicle.

@fortuner, What colour was your mums 2007 C?

Hi Mr Mercedes it was white in total between my mom and myself I went through 5 W204 models all white..My c63 was the obvious favorite that was a silver the standard ones were all white.

When I was in SA I mostly bought white for scratches didn't show and few times jealous people scratched my cars with keys.

I have moved to UK in march due to a family tragedy.so I am currently restarting my life I drive a used vauxhall lol ..leaving my ML.E class.C class and now in a old used vauxhall but god willing I'll be in a benz in a year or two.

Gorgeous! Love you guys got the 19 rims instead of the five spoke 18 ones.Out of curiosity why not the C300..is it much more expensive than the C250? i mean both has the same engine but different output.

Hehe, so indeed, you're the one with the odd Audi. I wished my family got that many nice cars, but to start with, it's a small family, and then, my sisters don't drive, and my dad no longer does, plus don't have any paternal -side family in this country.

Btw, so you convinced your cousin to get the Merc for replacing the Lexus?

Wow what a stunning car, many congrats and enjoy the drive!!:D:party::eusa_danc

Damn, you must have one badass MILF of a mum since she's opted for the AMG Sports Package, red leather and black wood trim! :D

So how many news cars is that in the family over the last 2-3 years?

Very nice choice and configuration - congratulations! I wish that her new C250 lives up to the great record of its worthy predecessor!

Thank you all! I haven't had nearly enough time to drive the car. :-(

It's about AUD$10,000 more. My mum drives very few KM's a year and the C250 performance is more than adequate for her, so the expense wasn't justified.

We're a BIG family! lol. My 2 cousins ended up selling a CRV and Mazda CX7 for two Lexus NX's. Their mum has a GLC on order.

HAHA I may have had something to do with the colour selections and specifications. :P When I initially suggested white and red she cringed. Once she saw it in the showroom she loved it!

My family tends to keep cars for 5-7 years. I'm the only one who has difficulty reaching the 1 year mark. lol (Though I've made it with the S3!!!! 1 year and 3 months!) They've all been coming up for replacement over the last 2 years or so, but we're about done for now, so the dry spell is about to begin.

Times flies it seems. I remember the thread you opened about the W204.

Congrats!! Car looks really good!
