CLK-Class (C209) ML63 walking all over a CLK55

The Mercedes-Benz C209 is the second generation CLK-Class, launched in 2002. The car was available in both hardtop coupé (C209) and in soft-top convertible (A209). Although its design and styling was derived from the E-Class, the mechanical underpinnings were based on the smaller C-Class. It was succeeded by the E-Class C207. Production: 2001–2009.

Somone (CLK63 driver) doesn't know how to drive. No way the ML is faster than CLK with more weight and aero drag, either that or the CLK had an engine malfunction.

It was a CLK55 Merc1.

Oh then that explains it. There is a similar video on MBWorld.org and I think they stated it was a 63, but a 55 would make more sense in getting beat like that.

Watch out suave dudes...soccor mom is in a hurry and she'll kick your ass in a drag :D

Mercedes really did obsolete the CLK55 in many ways this year with the CLK550 having more power than last year's CLK55!

lOl, this is what makes the value of the CLK55 drop like a hammer. I`d still take one though.

True and there are whole group of CLK55 owners on MBWorld that are pissed about this development. Don't even mention the CLK63 to them, it completely obliterates the CLK55.

Yeah they'll just have to get over it. Someday the CLK63 will be old news under the hood also, but it won't be for a while I suspect.

A couple of years. I am 100% sure the ante will be upped again soon enough. It's only natural, and we should all be thankful for it.

True, but I guess after spending so much money on car some folks don't want to ever see it get topped. Natural feeling/position, but no where near being realistic. The CLK55 had what like 362hp, that is hardly anything to brag about anymore, and it certainly isn't anything spectacular for a AMG product. MB/AMG had to up the ante.
