wow thats a darn ugly and boxy interior

I knowww...dunno what everyone else is on about. It's hideous!

If they think this is going to rock the boat...they've got another thing comming. The design and panel fit and finish look like a cheap mid 90's effort AT BEST. Just look at those air vents. :t-crazy2:

I reckon the interior design is ok, but the panel fit and trim finishes has an air of Korean car about it. Those air vents does look cheap, and the chrome door handle+door lock looks nasty. I will have to wait until they show us the final production version to make a final judgement. If there are any jaguar engineers reading this thread, you know what you have to do, so get cracking.

I think the interior is rather classy. Not just another German knock off. Plus in keep the theme of Jaguar. The exterior is what is going to make or break it.

^Surprised to see the S6 beats the M5!! on te other hand the E63 is seriously awesome:bowdown: :icondrool :D

^yep the E63 is a damn beast..
but i feel that the coming RS6 will kill both these cars ( please tell me its coming at the IAA and not later)
its extra bad for the M5..as its a longer time left before a new M5..
than a new E amg.. as the new E should come along by the end of next year..:D

maybe BMW should concider updating the M5 abit.. competition is STIFF

whats really funny is how the m5-with less power-still out performs the e in almost every category....

I think its arguable that the 5 series has the best engine line up by far. The v10, 4.8 litre, N54 and N52....

^yes 7hp less.. wow..

im talking about the RS6 killing these both Soon..
and the fact that the E class is a older car than the 5er..so the new E amg will come along faster..
so the problem of getting beaten by the RS6 is larger of the M5..
hence my suggestion .. an update of the M5..

or hold on.. maybe you belive the M5 will still have the upperhand despite the new RS6??

YEP ^^^

the RS6 can be as powerful as it wants but its still not going to be a M5... The M5 has more then just power.... driving dynamics, killer engine, handling of a god, SMG (cant honestly see why everyone complains about it) and those killer great white shark looks that eat up the road

M5 for me any day of the year including feburary 29th on the leap yr :D

if we are to go by the previous M3 vs RS4 i would say you are wrong..
but lets wait and see:D

They wont change engines when the new E comes-merc changes engines years after the cars intro...

IT has to eventually come to the point were cars have to much power... and i think BMW has hit it on the head with effiiecent dynamics... why keep pumping more HP out of engines and using more fuel when light weight technolgies and effiency seems the best way to improve these already stellar cars... I think more emphasis needs to be on effiency rather then more HP every generation

^well the new V8 and V10 arent known for their low fuel consumption ..
but i get your point...
lets see if the low torque 507hp M5 can keep up with the plus 550hp RS6
i doubt it but lets see

The Rs6 will be alot a heavier with a similar engine and AWD system

i do thik it will be quicker but i do not think it will match the M5 in many other departments that make the entire package of a sports sedan

As I was told in a earlier thread by Just_Me, "kill" is pretty strong word. I don't doubt the RS6 will lead the pack performance wise, but I don't see anyone of these outstanding vehicles running away from the pack!;)
