Wow...I need to invite some Japanese car fans in here. Seems like the Germans always winning (which is no big suprise).
I bet if MB and BMW had a Yellow Duck with 19 inch rims and put their symbols on it, they would still win.

Until the F10 arrives - it has to be Jag's thoroughly impressive XF. Even in naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 guise this vehicle features some of the best technology in its class; has the best gearbox - the brilliant new ZF 6 speeder, and looks nicer than anything else here.
The Merc is nice - for when I'm 50.
But just wait for that F10 - it's going to be a masterpiece. I expect it to get class honours in any head-to-head.

Martin, have you read the thread about what happens when the XF's battery goes flat? Really makes you question the 'depth of engineering'. Furthemore much of this 'tehcnology' to me seems like pure gimickery and eye candy to Oohh and Ahhh at on the showroom floor.
On top of that, it's got more then a passing resemblance to a Mondeo.
