What do you think?

I really hope Mercedes decides to dumb down the gee-whiz technology and luxo for this car, and make it a true sports car. The SLR was too heavy, too much Mercedes-ish. The SLC should be more AMG-ish (C63-like, loud, brash, fun).

I believe Mercedes finally has it's priorities straight with the SLS. I think this car will be what enthusiasts had been hoping the SLR was going to be once. On the other hand, I am curious to see what the next SL is going to be like. Hopefully not an interpretation of the SLS, but rather a modern two seater on a lighter aluminium chasis but still with all the tech and features of Mercedes.

I can't wait to see pics of the exterior. I really want to see Mercedes design interpretation of an expensive sports car, and from what I've seen of spy pics and renderings the car will look fantastic.

Well, we do know the technical specs as well as the design of the interior. The only thing that we don't know is what the exterior looks like and how it'll drive (Which I'm sure will be fantastic).

IMO a HIT. SL and SLK are not enough sporty, just like the Z4. I heard some say they would like a non opening SL. This car is the Mercedes is lacking IMO, to be 100 % above BMW, even if they in some way already are. This would be perfect choice between an M3 and a 911. Closer to performance of 911, but more luxurious than M3 and thus better daily sportscar. Also better than R8 which is just too bling to drive as a daily driver. It would also kill the V8 Vantage, which lacks Mercedes quality and relablity. I want this car. Let is just look sexy (not like he new SL).
Please let this car come:

SLC 55 AMG
Biturbo V8
500 PS
1400 kg
