2 Series LEAK: 2022 BMW 2-Series Coupe

The BMW 2 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since the year 2014. The 2 Series was created when BMW spun-off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the BMW 1 Series into a separate series.

Same aura of indecipherable and timeless beauty
Additional obvious conceptual similarities, design and sex appeal.
I always liked the Alfa more than the 2002 (although I also admire its charms), and this new 2 series has them both in the same package, if it is as in the photo, it is a resounding success

I reiterate that the widened front fenders up to the door seem genius to me, as the profile photo and the new one from the front almost confirm, is the key detail (new against the E30 M3) and add to the novelty

The M-winged mirror caps are unnecessary.
It depends, if they come from the factory they do not bother me, (BMW approved), less if it is difficult to access an M2, which may come with some surprise or variant in the mirros caps
Not long to go until unveiling.
It's quite exciting after so many blenders on wheels.
Front looks better than I was expecting
I will wait for the official photos to say "perfect" but yes, also the lights seem that they were born to belong to that front, nothing like, "put some squares / round / parallelogram there" ... because it is fashion or trend, since they are also very original and different

That E30 only has fender boxiness because somebody screwed some knock off rocket-bunny-esque boxy fenders to an E30 that didn't have boxy fenders!

I didn't mean boxy as in very prominent bulge but as in very square bulge, starting almost exactly at the door's vertical shutlines. We'll see if the lineage with the E30 and further away the 1600/2002 is being brought up at launch.

I would say more like this.

Hmm, it's not like that for me, it gives me much closer to the Alfa, by dimensions, the most curved and drooping shape from the ceiling towards the Kink, in addition to the stance, that is one of those things that is not seen clearly but is perceived in the whole, compact, flat and well standing

The E9's roof and drop lines are pretty much a hard rectangle in comparison.
But hey you saw it and I didn't so .....

No. I am referring to the blisters and what they emulate. Like the giant kidney grille referencing history, G42 also references history especially in motorsport. Those future M2’s CS’s and CSL’s are going to be wild.
When you show that Alfa it makes you think that they have missed a trick for either a G22 rival or a G42.

Final judgment when i will see the car on the flesh .. but missing Classical bmw headlight design … wait and see ;)

Last render looks spectacular I must say.

Which one because I think you are referring to a real picture?

Front and side are absolutely drop dead gorgeous, including funky headlights and maybe the most beautiful kidney grille of the last two decades.
But I am very scared for the rear though, particularly those rear lights. They looked bad in that first leaked elevator shot, but then again the front looked really poor too in that leak.
