Spectre [Hot!] Rolls-Royce 'Spectre' EV

The Rolls-Royce Spectre is a full-sized luxury electric grand tourer manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The first deliveries of the car were made in the last quarter of 2023. It is Rolls-Royce's first electric vehicle (EV) and rides on the same platform as the Phantom and Cullinan.
This was already designed by the "new" at the head of design Anders Warming?

Wasn't Anders only re-employed last year? I don't think he could have had any real influence on this if that is the case.

The Spectre will occupy such an exclusive market niche. An electric, genuine 4 seater, 2 door grand touring behemoth. An absolutely massive locomotive of an automobile that may be a bit "too massive" for some. On the other hand, it seems to complement its' subordinate BMW sibling, the upcoming G70/71 i7, suitably. It is positioned to become the quintessential, über-luxurious BMW Group "personal car". The choice for BMW fans who deem the i7 as being too pedestrian and any sort of possible successor to the current 2 door 8ers as too vulgar, too juvenile.

Except for the RR grill, the front looks very similar to the one of the new 7er.
I guess the intention is to move the 7er closer to RR in the prestige compartment.

Or it’s just diluting Rolls Royce. A BMW and a Rolls Royce should never, ever resemble each other. All the dragging Bentley suffered from when they were based on and looked like VWs says so.

This.

Split headlights on a BMW is awful, on a Rolls Royce it’s asinine.

While I agree with this, having as a profile pic a RR that looks to have been tunned by a drug dealer does not sell your case LOL.

It’s a body kit by mansory and in my defense I think the front looks awful, I do like the back. ;)

Except this RR and any BMW have nothing in common platform wise, so all resemblance will be visual at most, which obviously wasn't the case for VW

I love ❤️ my battery ? powered Golf cart.
That said I will most probably never purchase an electric vehicle. Not interested at all and car manufacturers deliberately try their utmost to make their electric vehicles look weird and unconventional. IMO cohesive, constructive and smart design lies in the universal brand identity of a specific brand. Take Brunno Sacco for example and what he did and meant to the Mercedes-Benz brand.
I do believe though that a electric Rolls-Royce if presented in true Rolls-Royce fashion and brand identity will be a running success. The quietness, serenity and waft-ability the RR products are associated with will benefit from a electric power train.

Doesn’t matter they shouldn’t look alike either. It’s plain wrong. If anything that’s worse than sharing a platform, that’s something most people won’t know anything or care about. Looking like a BMW is worse for Rolls and everyone will instantly see that regardless of what platform is underneath.

They don't look alike at all so people are trying to create some problem that's not there.
