He should talk to Dave Kindig, his Riddler winning car has a hand beaten aluminium body.

There's plenty of companies around who can bash out high quality hand buld aluminium bodies.

Just about to say exactly the same thing.

One of my favourites. 1992, albeit 1988 unveiling.

@Bridster , does this pushrod rocker pivot point structure get your stamp of approval now? 😁

It's also nicely visible on this picture. As is the rear subframe. source: mr.simonsson

BTW, this render might explain why they had a conflicting downforce claim of 1,800 lb (817 kg) in the presentation (as reported by Lieberman).
Using the claim from the spec sheet, 589 kg at 241 kph (634 kg at 250 kph), we can extrapolate that as 795 kg at 280 kph. Seems like a needlessly low top speed, but I don't know why else they would have a red zone on the speedometer...

Another bit of info from the presentation was the weight of the monocoque: 145 lb (65.7 kg).

My problem wasn't with the rocker pivot point, but with the upper wishbone front attachment point - which I still can't see very well! Regardless, I am not suggesting that they can't get it right, just that it's all still in early stages. Perhaps too early to be making big claims.

Having a handmade alu body being the dream is a very a f'ed up dream when you can make it out of carbon too....

I think we've covered all the available content so far. 😁
But we might get this thread going again very soon:
... Over the next few weeks we will deep dive into the inspiration, goals, manufacturing, materials and engineering of HF-11. This isnt a mock-up or a concept, its designed to run fast out of the box, and soon.

The Shadow Project—set to make its official debut on Top Gear in the next 30 days! Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Send it off to production! Our proprietary Carbon Monocoque, part of our THUNDER-VOLT platform, is what makes all the innovation, technology and performance possible. 900kg / 2000lbs still lives on as a target! After a full 2.5 years of development, refinement and feasibility, it's off to production. In a matter of weeks we will have pieces in hand! Thank you to our lean and ridiculously talented team to make this happen.
More details will follow soon.

HF-11 Reveal: floating from screen to tarmac.

While it will only be a static reveal, it represents the final production verification stage. Underneath are over 3 years of engineering, feasibility, manufacturing and supply chain issues resolved. Unlike most showcars, that then take years to hit the road, cost twice as much and in the end look nothing like the originally presented "vision".

First Look: HF-11 escapes the computer screen.

It needs to be seen in person. The crazy part? What's underneath and still to come.

The final validation model, one that reflects nearly 3 years of underlying engineering, feasibility, manufacturing and design efforts by a global team.

In our signature "art" camo for now, while the team argues about final colors.
