Spectre [Hot!] Rolls-Royce 'Spectre' EV

The Rolls-Royce Spectre is a full-sized luxury electric grand tourer manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The first deliveries of the car were made in the last quarter of 2023. It is Rolls-Royce's first electric vehicle (EV) and rides on the same platform as the Phantom and Cullinan.
I think the spectre will be a hit, especially amongst urban owners that park in underground car park. Not having to visit a gas station is luxury and so is access to EV only parking bays.

That reminds me of the Stereotype of Germans on holiday when they steal all the sun loungers.
Now they will be stealing all the charging points. ;) :p Or all the hot water.

700kg battery
23 inch alloys
Phantom Coupe sized

This car will likely cost a fortune.

I am surprised that RR continued to heavily invest in sound deadening and engineering artificial sound to minimise nausea for occupant.

Why not use active noise cancelling to achieve both? The new full fat Range Rover is impeccably quiet thanks to active noise cancelling.

Range Rover will sound like a VW Golf next to this.

The same old interior :(
Yupp. It will be dissapointing if it still resembles a reskinned 7series cabin from 2009. Not to say that there should be screens everywhere but some new ideas in the cabin would be refreshing.

Isn't it the dashboard of the Ghost?

I'm assuming it's going to pretty much be the same as the i7 M70.
Interesting. Isn't BMW taking RR in the direction of not being reskinned bimmers?

They periodically mention that the V12 engine and Ghost platform aren't BMW derived.

Who are they? The V12 is made in Germany and there is no RR R&D in it. How can it be bespoke?

The platform is unique; modular aluminium space frame - they are not reskinned BMW's. The V12, is unique to Rolls-Royce, it's a BMW N74 engine, but in a configuration that isn't featured in a BMW. They still use BMW parts in the chassis, but you've got to trace part numbers to see that.

They're clearly not reskinned BMW's, but there is BMW DNA in them.
