M3/M4 [Hot!] BMW M4 Concept

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

I remember when I first saw the vent on the 3 series GT and complained about it's placement. I was corrected and told that it had to be in just that spot so they could get the fuel economy savings. I know that airflow management is a black art, and remembered the latest subaru outback engineers talking about the stupid nubs that they put on the railing of the latest model which improved economy by 2 MPG or something like that.

I'm glad that looks were more important, assumedly, than fuel economy for the concept M4. If they revert back to those nasty misplaced vents on the production version there will be hell to pay!

It's the best looking M3 coupe ever... and before someone says its an M4 yeah I know but technically its the replacement for the E92 M3.

I know its a concept and as such some things will be changed but boy has this thing got some attention to details, dare I say its detailing is far superior to its rivals.

What's not to like, except the wheels (enough with the X6M wheel variations already). Hopefully production cars gets BBS/CS style wheels.

Agreed! Glad to hear someone else also feels the same way about this stagnant wheel design. I wasn't a fan of it on the previous M6, and still not a fan now.

As for the BBS/CS style wheels, naturally they'll save that for the CS model in a few years.

I just hope this car doesn't end up becoming like the F10 M5. It was beautiful at launch and even prettier in the flesh, but it's just not as desirable as an M car should be.

I don't care about 0-60 times, I just want to hear that this is the definitive driver's car - just like its predecessors.

You like?

My mind is blown

It's just.....sick.
Reminds me of the E46 M3 unveiling.....

The only thing that's a little strange is that it doesn't say 'Concept' on the rear plate. So not sure if this is the production model we're seeing, or the Concept that's supposed to be unveiled at Pebble Beach today/tomorrow.

It says BMW Concept M4 Coupe on the plate :)

New wallpaper?

Yep. Merci!
@Just_me: nice touch on the brakes :D

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
