Do you guys think the reason why Mercedes is making an excuse for not fitting a V8 even in the FL C63 is because it would take most of the E63’s sales?
Just piping in as a layman: The issue is not about length (no "that's what she said" comments" pleaseBecause there is by no way one could convince me a V8 couldn’t fit in this thing![]()

With that long hood? you can even fit an M279 in there & Now they gave us a inline 4 POS.
The E63 is coming in 2027What E63?
The W205 was less wide, shorter front end & just overall smaller. Propaganda much?Just piping in as a layman: The issue is not about length (no "that's what she said" comments" please), but rather width and height aka bulk, isn't it ? Dry sumps alleviate the height issue, I suppose.

One size fits all, saw dudes fitting them in hatchbacks even.Propaganda ? On my part ?
Not at all, as I am no longer very interested in ICE technology in general when it comes to new and future vehicles. Only classic/historical automobiles. I'm stuck in the pushrod era, and those old V8s fit just about anywhere. Just being an inquisitive forum bystander.
