And the technology is antique. It's based on the old Q5 and a lot of things have changed since this platform was developed. It's pricey for its size but the proportions and design are stellar.

Unfortunately this is likely to remain the case as the there won't been a new generation ICE Macan, correct? And the technology is antique. It's based on the old Q5 and a lot of things have changed since this platform was developed.
Didn't Porsche say that they will continue to produce the EV Macan along the ICE version. The resale values for the Macan is super high. Even the discontinues diesel variant is highly sought after. This is the last ICE Macan generation. The new EV Macan is already in work/testing on a new platform, while an ICE new Macan is not.
This is coming from the Porsche factory.
So if you still want an gas Macan, buy this now. I think the resale value will increase on this one in 2023 when the EV macan will come out.
Still the only crossover I'd consider.

Was at my local dealers to drive a taycan 4S (meh) and my SA told me the same thing… electrification is silly.
Macan is not a crossover though
Macan is not a crossover though
In the U.S., the Macan is definitely considered a crossover along with everything else in its class. Does your country classify it as something different?
I guess depends on how you define a crossover. Generally, a unibodied car-based platform that's jacked-up like the MLB platform, I'd consider it a crossover.
Mid size SUV I suppose.
Oh. I see "SUV" and "Crossover" being interchangeable at this point. The purists here would say SUVs = body on frame construction but no one seems to care about that particular distinction much anymore.
Given how poor the range of the Tycan is in relation of the cost of the vehicle, I don't have high hopes for the range of the electric Macan.ICE Macan will continue as long as there are demand for it. Not all people live in locations where EV is viable option. Given the current pace of Macan facelift cycles (every two years), wouldn't be surprised if there will be third facelift after 2023, the .4 version. Porsche just made the haptic touch center console for MY2022, would make more sense to support that new interior update for at least few more years after that along with introduction of PCM 6.0.
Last month, I enquired about the Macan at my local Porsche dealer.Yep. Make an outstanding product…….
Porsche can seemingly do no wrong.

Specced to €111,000
The Macan is in a league own in terms of desirability. There is no shortage of people who are willing to pay mad money for it whether new or used.
It seems to tick boxes that are usually mutually exclusive:
Practical
Super agile
Comfortable
Easy to drive
Easy to park
Prestige badge
The only cons are price and space(if you put adults in the backseat or have twins).
Last month, I enquired about the Macan at my local Porsche dealer.
I almost fainted when the sales guy told me that they have a 2018 used one with 20,000 Miles for sale at just $8,000 less than a factory ordered one.
