Finally got to see one in the wild.
I've also seen ads for lease at $1100

These C63’s are collecting dust at discount, while the F80/F82 is still the hottest performance car commodity in the tristate 6-7 years into lifecycle. I’ve seen 2 C63’s on the road since debut.

Like the EQ range, MB made the fatal mistake in dictating what the consumer would want here as well.

And I can’t believe they still won’t put the V8 back. There should be a C53 I6 and a C63 V8 to replace the current C43 and C63 but that doesn’t appear to be the plan.

Plans can change. At the very least a C53 with the 6 will be nice.
The rest is probably subject to demand and what their fleet emissions look like.

Franky, I'd rather a pure combustion E63S, than a C63. But we'll see I suppose.

I think a 500de would be a bit of a myth for the C class. Would make much more sense for the E and S classes.
450d would be fine, but there should be a 450 petrol to go with it.
I think you would probably be best served consolidating the C300e and 400e into a single sku; a C350e/de which splits the difference in power using the 2L. No need for so many models.
470kW in a C-class is a lot to expect tbh.

Yes I perhaps did get carried away with the number of model choices, especially I wanted to emphasize more PHEV models. The C500de is a fantasy model for sure, but it does show the potential of a great performance/economy car with massive low to mid range grunt. That inline 6 diesel with a plug in hybrid powertrain would be a good match, the only thing it would be extremely heavy (2.1tons approx).

I saw more V8 engine C63 and GLC 63 in one day than the number of 4 cylinder C63 and GLC 63 over a period of 2.5 years. My regular MB Sales are saying they are losing a lot of clients to BMW, while the BMW sales I have spoken with across three different dealership are saying there are plenty of MB and AMG owners moving across. The situation was made worse since MB Australia decided to price the 4 cylinder C63 AMG at $200k AUD..... which was a 15% price increase over the previous V8 C63...with no discounts and no negotiation.

I get what they're going for. Ironic the car they're paying tribute to was a 4 cylinder, when that's exactly the thing they set out to change on with this car.

I remember reading sometime back that North America was the hottest market for Mercedes AMG. This was a few years ago.
It's unsurprising that Mercedes has lost customers to BMW M. If the C63 were to receive the new V8 with a significant power boost and improved interior quality following the facelift, many of those customers would likely return.

Basically MB and AMG just need to continue doing what they did with the W205, which is still very popular on the streets of Sydney.
