I don't agree. It is evil triumphing over good
When can't a designer or an engineer beat an accountant in companies that earn more than 5/10Bn a year? If you talk to me about bankruptcy, I would understand.

The point is that there are real examples that regulations can be managed, others do

Nobody buys it, it's a very different situation.

They did a market study, 80% of the buyers didn't give a damn, nor did they know that they were RWD, they asked for more space, + more economy of scale, win - win, nothing to do with what happens in Mercedes with the C63, It is unacceptable
You can't get a V8 in the 7 series in Europe. On 6 cylinders you are limited to only Phevs. V12 is no longer available anywhere in the world. Evil triumphing over good...

The continuous power produced by the electric motor is 95 hp. It can deliver its full power for 10 seconds when the battery is full. So the constantly available power is approximately 570 hp.

Oranges and apples as always.
You continue with the laughing emojis, it's hard for anyone to take you seriously, I'm out

Your reading comprehension problem continues. The combined power produced by the engines is 570 hp continuously. Is this difficult to understand? I'm one of the few people who responds to your nonsense. You don't want to lose me either. So pathetic.

95 HP continuous output and 204 HP at peak

The performance of the four-cylinder engine when the battery is empty is 476 hp.

With a full battery, the system output is 476 + 95 HP = 571 HP.

It has a peak power of 476 + 204 HP = 680 HP for 10 seconds.

Power declared by Mercedes, so difficult to understand boy?
From 0 to 100km/k the boost is used, on the straights of the track you use the boost, get the potato out of your ear.

Go to hell, only I argue with children, no more

Com' on, grow up a bit and debate in a respectful manner. Constant bickering and personal attacks is pointless and ruins the thread. Keep it civil please.

Very good driving by the C63S pilot. Was not able to see tire pressure/temp in the display. But just listen to the tire squeaking ... after one lap it is most likely done ...

They know this car is going to have a struggle in the market so they priced it to sell. I too thought it would be 100K. I mean this is loaded E450 money. Not bad at all. Now let’s see if they move any.

Quite amazed that its price is more or less almost the same as the M3 Comp X-drive. While in Europe its considerably more than the BMW. I guess they dont want to have ZERO sales so they priced it lower and much better value.

USA $8.000 more than de M3

That M3 is a base RWD manual.

Comp XDrive as Rolf mentioned is essentially the same price.
Although with the inline six, the difference is priceless ;)
I thought the same thing between the base SL and a Z4 M40.....it makes you think about it

Would be interessting to know the "internal costs" calculated by the OEM. That the C63 S E performance is priced higher than a "comparable" G80 Comp xDrive (e.g. in Germany) was reasonable to me, as I think it is more costly to produce: The delta between the high-strung AMG M139 and the S58 Inline six will not be big, but the C63S additionally has electric motor, battery pack and a rear-wheel steering ...
So if Mercedes is pricing the C63S at G80 level, I guess they don't earn a lot money with it ... but this is obviously just speculation.

The SL is basically an entirely different class of car. It's waaaay bigger than the Z4.
I know, I say despite that and that it is another segment, won't things be equalized a bit? the big one with a vulgar 4 against a smaller one with the big 6, they have almost the same power and surely the Z4 handles better due to its size, not to mention the price, therefore cost-benefit

Maybe it does. But then a Miata will handle better than a Z4, despite having a lowly 4 cylinder engine.

You're comparing cars in different categories for no reason at all.

I totally disagree, if there was a 6-cylinder Miata I would evaluate it against a 4-cylinder Z4 in the same way as this, but that's just my opinion.
