No, not really. The primary spring rates are fixed, adaptive dampers will soften the secondary ride but the primary ride will still be firm and, from what I've read and watched, it's very firm in M-Sport guise.

Excellent point. A good example are the X3 M40i and any X4. Even with adaptive dampers they both ride noticeably stiffer than a bae X3.
