M3/M4 E92 M3 discussion thread II

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
the guy that told me that new M3 is getting 426hp says the M3 will be for sale this summer :t-hands:

I highly doubt that. In order for it to be on sale this summer the car would have to debut within the next month or two. There aren't any major shows coming up so I don't know if they would really skimp out on Geneva and release the car without proper marketing. I would say at the earliest it would be available by winter.

Summer lasts till September 23rd. :D

But, yes, dealers will start to take orders officially in the Summer, just after press release - yet first deliveries will be made in late September (info for German market).

From an indepth article i saw in this month's CAR (back of new M3 in the cover), the upcoming Mer looks far less aggressive than the previous iteration, which to me was a bit of a dissapointment. However, I was pleased to see no rear spoiler.

How about a HUD? Any news on whether this feature will be available?

There isn't enough space on the E9x for the HUD, so no HUD!
So the question is: Where are the "shift lights" placed?

rear spolier will be there but as an option

BTW those pics in CAR wasnt the real deal.

That's good. No spoiler, less attention. Seems like you have some more information on features (which are standard)!??

Best regards, south

No nope, no info. with the M5 you can choose with or without rearspoiler, so of course the same for M3.

thats what eni told us long ago and Nauro is going to love it :) I bet the final version going to look exclusive

OMG those are horrid.. why did they do that??
wats wrong with the old design..ir the one on M5..
this is just crazy..

That's a goddamn PS! :t-banghea:t-banghea:t-banghea:t-banghea:t-crazy2::t-crazy2::t-crazy2::t-crazy2::t-crazy2: Why don't some of you look at the pic for a while and not jump in and ***** about it?!?!

:t-cheers:

It's not a PS. :t-cheers:

But indeed the shot is terrible: weird angle making the car to look very flat & 2D. Especially the mirrors. They actually look "cute" IRL. I think it's a very nice detail.
I was also told they had some important aerodynamic function. :t-hands:

Also be aware: there is still some camo on, hiding some minor details. :usa7uh:

We are still only few weeks away from the Concept's exposure ...

Those things are huge. They also look like they are different sizes (left vs right):eusa_thin

I want them to be more round and not so rectangular

Don't worry. It's the shot which is really terrible, like I said. The angle is weired, therefore the car (including the mirrors) looks flat & 2D, and very skewed.

In person everything looks fine. :t-cheers:

:D;)

HA HA HA!!! I should get some mad respek cuz I called this one a long time ago!!!!! The E36 split-fin mirrors have returned. I'm liking it and Eni is right, the picture is very distorted, flat and 2d-ish so you're not seeing the roundness of the mirrors.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
