The new mirrors are much more 3D than they appear in this shot; the lower part is cosr to the camera than the upper part...

Isn't there more from different angles? I'd love to see more

I would say that that is much closer to the truth. I really do love those mirrors and they really do help the aerodynamics. By how much? I don't know but I know they clean the "dirty-air" around the windshield area and helps it flow backwards without causing drag. Ferrari are using this on their F430 for better airflow around that area and the clean air goes directly into the air scoop that sits right by the end of the rear window.

I was wondering, is there a reason why the new M3 is getting 426hp? Is it some kind of celebration for something. I mean there was a reason why BMW claim the M5 has 507hp so I figure same thing for the new M3.

Sorry, no real source this time! However I'm quite sure!
The fact the HUD isn't available on standard E92 didn't make it very likely to be in the M3. As I've heard/read (thought it was here, don't find it anymore) is the current generation of HUD to big to fit in E9x, maybe the next generation HUD will be smaller.
So again: question is, where are the shift lights

The reason why M5 / M6 has 507hp (DIN): 507hp (DIN) is exactly 500hp (SAE).

It's the same thing with M3: 426hp (DIN) = 420hp (SAE)


Pure marketing decision - in favour of US market.



PS: regarding some features (eg HUD, EDC, CF roof etc) I was told this: "Who would then buy an M5 / M6 if one can get same features on a cheaper M3 with only 80hp less, yet lighter & agiler?"

I think my sources made a point.

Urban myth.

Think: what M5 / M6 has in common with BMW 507? Not much.

It was a marketing decision to fit US market nicely - hp number wise.
