***Claudia Wimmer 2007 BMW 118i (56K Warning)***

Exactly. When's your new car coming Wimmer? ;)

I don't need a new car right now. If I need a car, I plan on registering the old 300SE and participating with it at Oldtimer shows. :usa7uh:

The 1er is fun to drive but high speeds really aren't it's strong point.

Remember its a 143 hp car, not a 200 hp car which mean its not a rocket. Only german has free speed so not many owners around the globe are going to drive more than 150km/h. The power is where its most needed :usa7uh:

Oh no, the horsepower is perfectly adequate. I was talking about the 1-Series small size. It's stable at high speeds, but past 170 km/h it feels a bit "shakey". In my experience, this occurs with all small cars (VW Golf, Kia Pride etc.) at high speeds, even if they're made out for this type of driving. A heavier and bigger car will perform better at higher speeds on the Autobahn. :usa7uh:

The 1er performs best on twisty country roads. The handling is excellent. Excellent.

If it makes you feel better, C-man, I run out of speedometer at 85mph...

My 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero 2500 Intercooler Turbo (99-hp) was faster! It topped out at 140 km/h (87.5 mph). :D
