It seems very Big, X5 like big.

I don't think it's much smaller than the E53 first gen X5...

It's shaping up nicely. My wishlist for it include:

• LEDs as standard.
• Better engine noise insulation for the 20d.
• Hybrid petrol as an option.
• Merino leather as an option - Nevada leather feels cheap in the well built F25.

I doubt LEDs will be standard, would be nice though. The frugal finance department won't allow.
Its sad that you can find factory LEDs in GM, Toyota and some other non-luxury brands but luxury cars like BMWs, etc. can still be spotted with halogen bulbs - technology from 70s and 80s.
There must be certain features standard in luxury cars if you want to fit in that category.

New G01 X3 Photos. White Car is base model 28i or whatever new naming convention will be. Brown Car is M Performance Model with new recessed exhaust Finishers and "M" Blue Front Multi Piston Brake Caliper. New "Shark Fin" underbody Aero Bits under front fascia...new to X3...and not viewed on ANY current BMW model. BMW getting serious about underbody aerodynamics. Leave it to #PalBaysDeepSpyShotAnalysis to dig out all the new bits and pieces. Thanks. PalBay

2018 BMW X3: 30i will have the same power as other existing x30i (252hp), while M40i will have 335hp. Sport seats will be standard. Notable options: M Sport brakes, 20" non-RFT or 21" RFT with M Sport, sport suspension with M Sport or adaptive suspension, many comfort options trickling down from 7er and 5er (acoustic glass, ambient air, ambient lighting, display key, ventilated seats, even gesture control - sign of things to come on G20?), Carbon Black paint (remember that beauty? good to see it making a comeback) and the new Phytonic Blue (looks like slightly grayer Mediterranean Blue). Dakota leather will be replaced by a new type.

We're in for some busy times on the X front: all-new X3, X5 and X7 all coming soon. And with the new X3 and X5 of course a new X4 and X6.
And lets not forget about the X2!

I hope BMW gives a great & proper facelift to the X1 with the LCI, since the current X1 looks completely tame & lame compared to the upcoming aggressive and imposing looking X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 & X7, the latter also with a significant upscale flair / look.

It's pretty tame, but lame? I really like the X1. SUVs are the only versions that can make FWD look good.

I know August seems far. I would like to think the car will be unveiled in March and production to start in June but I am not holding my brearh. The 4 series LCI for example has looked ready for months but has yet to break cover.

Purely based on my own observations from reading this forum and others, I expect the X3 will receive an internet reveal around June 2017, followed by the World Premiere at Frankfurt in September 2017.
