An X3 with VisionFutureLuxuryitis. The contagion is spreading.

Anyway the interplay of light and shadow here reveals the glasshouse of the third generation X3.

The kink interpretation doesn't look good here. The rear bumper projects a bit, SUV/SAV manufacturers need to follow the Land Rover Discovery and their rear bumper that tucks under, rather than extends out. That's what makes the Q7 look especially ungainly.

that is true!! those fake tape really dose make it looks straight! btw it would be really nice to see the straight design line of the lower window frame towards from the bonnet. but Im sure either way this X3 will look great!

If it's not straight it will look terrible. Fire whoever came up with that design direction and feed his mother to the pigs. But seriously I think that upward kink really detracts from the design, makes the middle look like a sagging banana. I look at this, the i3 and the upcoming M5 as possible third vehicles in my garage after my K75 and Z4 coupe. i3 is flawless, suspect that the M5 will be as well, it would be nice to consider this, but it's all about the styling. I would pick the first generation X3 over the current because of how poorly done this second generation is. I need a vehicle I can fall in love with every morning I see it after I consider all the costs.

Looks sprung stiff and nicely like the outgoing model. The Macan and F-Pace are sporty and well regarded giving the new X3 plenty of work cut out for it.
