Yep, I feel something is getting erected.

After all I still have high hopes for the future of M.
Just throw in a manual box, not dct only.
So 2 versions of 135i?

The Road Ahead that interests me the most is without doubt the possible z2 coupe. Somewhere in between a lotus and a mx-5 in price and power to weight. Preferably at least one version without turbo and with decent power. Though I won´t hold my breath on the last wish.

What, a teaser for a teaser? :eusa_thin Don't let Betty read this. :D

Best regards,

Too late. :eusa_doh:

I must say, even I'm getting a little excited at the teaser to come. I just don't know why we have to have a 'pre'-teaser. Anyway, I'll tentatively give Scott a "thank-you" in advance. He's sucked me in. I've surrendered. Let's hope I don't live to regret this later.

So no 1er tii?

135i GTS = tii. tii with the engine of the Z4 35is probably, so even more power.

135i GTS = I6 TT N54 340 hp/500 Nm, lightweight E82 1er coupé

1er M Supersports = I4 TT M-like F20 1er

I think so at least....

I rather swing my key into the ignition of my highrev engine CSL. I can t get exited over a 135i done that tried that. Sold the car after 2 months owner ship. Incl shorter final drive and drexler LSD.

How good the body panels and seats and a cage may be. For the end result is that you can steer the car on throttle. Thats almost impossible with the turbo engines which are here today. If they go turbo route it s far better to go 4 cil then 6 cil i think. The nm are little lower with the 4 banger. The 135i is to extreme to play with gas in corners that is were for me the fun starts.

I still have my hopes on a high rev 6 cil engine for 1 serie ///M if not i start my CSL with airbox sound at 8000 rpm chickenskin all the way. Cars are emotion and certainly the ///M cars they should keep that in mind.

The CSL and also the M3 GTS are such cars. They deliver. Let the Turbo cars be AG cars. Let ///M give us masterpieces in engines. I don t see spending a lot of money on ///M cars with engines used from the AG shelfs. We need masterpieces like the 3.0 ///M 3.2///M 4.0///M

I would like to see 3.0 alu mag 6 cil ///M engine with more 8000 rpm on tab a nice CSL airbox in front 320hp is enough if weight could kept under 1300kg That would rock my wallet empty.

Certainly, my fellow-Dutchman AdvEvo has a very good point.

After seeing several reviews on the X6M, the conclusion always comes down to the same: ''Technically brilliant car that lacks the excitement of true M-cars''. M cars are becoming too complex and most of all: too heavy. Listen to the man who defined the future of performance motoring a long time ago; ''Simplify and increase lightness''.

Turbocharging is a way to reduce emissions and increase torque, but is also reduces something extremely important for M-cars; the emotional feeling they give you while driving them properly. Turbocharging is fine for an 120si to compete with the GTi and Megane RS, but IMO not for an M-series BMW.

M-Division cars should be the most soulful cars BMW produce, since they are historically racing cars made for the road. Why not make a lightweight high-revving 130i in the vein of the CSL...? That would blow anything it came up against (e.g. Audi S3) out of the water for pure driving excitement.

BMW's M-Division should go back to it's roots; producing lightweight and simple racing cars for the road. Leave FI up to normal BMW's and Alpina's.

The konst Smide's took longer than expected , Popping out with my family for some Mongolian barbecue.
M Post will be up later as will the preview for the NAIAS Concept Car ,
BMW Concept Active E.
