I admit that I find the BMW F25 X3's front/face (full frontal view) appalling and the ugliest ever by BMW AG. It beats the F20 BMW 1er by 10.9 miles for being ugly. Sorry!!!

Haha, you are probably the only one thinking that the F20's face is un-ugly That is the word I'm gonna use here. Because nice isnt available for that car
Imo, there are 3 extremely ugly BMW's atm: 1er, X3 and 5er GT. U-G-L-Y.
Then there are beauties like the 6er GC, X5 E70, X6M and 4er... ahh

Bmw has incredible nice cars like : 5er,3er,4er,X5,6er and has some huge fails like 7er,1 series and X1. Other brands has awesome designed cars and normal (but not ugly) cars.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. For me it's hard to spot a nice looking Merc for example, and I find a lot of models downright ugly.
And how can someone who owns a Q5 find the X3 ugly?

Aaah, opinions about design. Gotta love it.

I feel that the X3 is one of BMW's more successful designs. In fact, in the light of the F15's arrival, it is now the best looking SAV in BMW's line-up. No question about it.

The F25's silhouette echoes that of the X1 and new F15 which is great. Also it has a striking rear design and the interior is on-par with it's respective class (may be not as "flash" in interior design as the Evoque) but in the total sum/area of hard, knock-on plastics it still beats the baby RR. My only gripe with the F25 is it's non-powerful presence so characteristic of X-models and BMW's in general, facing it head on. X-models sits obviously higher from the ground and the 'face' is a more prominent canvas of the BMW-brand at that, so has to be 'serious' IMO off coarse

The CL is nice looking (FL), and the S is of course nice looking. And the C class is too.

Ugly Mers would be the WHOLE E class family (already 4 cars in one go), particularly the coupe and cabrio.
But I could of course go on and on. The A class, the B call, the R class, the GLK, the SL and SLK. All ugly.

LOL, seriously michael, stylistic merit is most subjective, and obviously going to be affected by brand loyaltys, it's not inconceivable to imagine someone believing a couple of MBs are ugly

Its like somebody will say that all bmws are ugly, what would you say about that ? Everybody has an opinion regarding design. IMO, from the Audi,Bmw and Merc, the last one launches the most beautiful cars, the most special, each car has its own personality, and they have the best designers. The don't lack imagination like the other manufacturers designers. For me almost every Mercedes looks better than his Bmw rival. I think that Bmw dreams to design a pure timeless,beautiful,elegant yet sporty car like the CL.

I do not agree though. But the A-class does not look bad or ugly at all. Just the cabin IMHO: Poorest piece of garbage under-par KIA/Hyundai IRL, knock, feel, lick and see test...I can't believe the same people made the astonishing SLS, S-class, SL etc. It's like Venus and Mars. Only they share the same prestigious badge.

That prestigious badge has been watered down lately - Renault Panel Van with THE 3-pointed Star, A-class with Renault engine etc. Cry THE beloved badge

Just my honest opinion.

A-Class, CLA, E-Class, GLK, ML, SLK, SL - IMO all these vary from ugly to extremely ugly.
R-Class FL - It's OK for what it is now after the FL.
CL - Nice!
S-Class - Nice!
CLS - It's OK but has some ugly stuff in it.
GL - Nice!
SLS - OK!
E-Class Coupe FL - Now I like it but it still has something wrong in it.

Now to BMW... most of their cars are far from beautiful but one can call only a few of them ugly:

1-Series, X5 and to a lesser degree the 5GT and 3GT.
Mind that the X5 isn't that ugly but my biggest problem with it is that it looks a million times worse than it's predecessor which is IMO the best looking SUV in the world. All the other BMW models are either beautiful or OK IMO.

Now to Audi:

A1, A6, A3 Sedan, TT, R8, S4 - All are nice looking!
A7, Q5, Q7, A3 Hatch, A5 SB, A5, A4 - All are OK yet most are closer to nice looking.
Q3 - Hmm in RS form it's a nice looking vehicle in standard tho... it's ugly.

Most of the Audi models are nice IMO... they might lack soul tho...
BMWs are mostly OK with the exception of a few groundbreaking designs such as the 6-Series, the upcoming 4-Series and the 5-Series M-Pack.

MB IMO has only a few models that differ from ugly.

IMO Mercedes has the best design among the 3 great german brands (audi,mercedes,bmw). Merc's very beautiful models: CL,S,CLS (10/10)., E class,GL,SL (9/10). The others look fine 7-8/10. I can't mention a really ugly MB model. Bmw has 3 superb designs (5er,3er,6er and now 4 designs with the 4 series). X5 E70 was gorgeous but they now ruined the X5. Most bmws are uglier than the Mercs, both interior and exterior.

Audi has some very good designs, their individual models look great but the whole family lacks imsgination from the designers and personality. A6,A3 are my favourites. I was very very impressed by the A8 but I bored quickly. In the interior its gorgeous. Top general : 1. Mercedes with a general design rated at 8.5-9. Audi and Bmw rated 7.5-8 both.

The F15 has fully grown on me. My favorite BMW SUV, and probably SUV in general. Looking forward to Audi's answer with Q7 Mk2.
