X5 Leaked: BMW X5 (F15)?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Can't put my finger on the exact details, but I feel the F15 has lost that aggression that the E70 does an exemplary job of conveying.

Guys this are bad pictures. Let´s wait until some good shots arrive you will see it will look much better so chill.

This is going to be really good in high res shots, better angles better wheels and better colors.

I am already slightly impressed, but a new BMW always needs time to digest...I'll comment later when I've seen more :)

Very true.

I disagree....right off the bat, I found the 5er and 6er beautiful and still do.

Not a big X5 fan so it's kinda "meh" to me, though especially with seeing the ML enough now- and it being a solid and appropriate design, I don't think it'll hold a candle to the X5 in terms of leading this segment.

I saw an X1 at the Car Wash today and I think it's a great looking little "thing".

Not bad at all. I like. But I'm not digging the tail lights, they're too similar to the X3's.

E-vo-lu-ti-on ... pure. (y)

I don't know... I still think the rear reminds too much of the X1.. They should be more exclusive, as the X5 has been one of my favorite Beemers since day one.

I agree with the "look alike" 100%. So do I get your point, but it really does not bother me. See, IMO the German OEM's does tend to keep things in the family e.g. your Q5 vs Q3 or Touareg vs Tiguan also the GLK vs GL an even ML. Not to say that BMW could not made it a bit more different, though I suspect IRL it will prove to integrate well with the total profile of the new X5.

The rear of new X5 is kind of a mix of evolutionized E70 X5 rear + X1 rear + X3 rear. What else should they do ... the aim was to make X-family more connected & familiar design-wise. Therefore some common design elements. It's all about consistency & control. Especially when X-family getting larger & larger.

^Oh damn. I meant the X3 , and not the X1.
Sh*t, those lights are to similar.

And one thing is for sure. The Q Audi family and the GLK/ML from MB differ more from eachother then the X from BMW.

There's a hint of both ... F15 X5 features more 3D cluster design - like X1, not flat 2D like X3.

Regarding Audi: they have announced the Q-family will get some specific design features & details to differentiate itself from the other Audi cars. And I assume that would mean some more familiarity within Q-family itself - to enhance the Q-family image.

I didn't.
The 5er front was extremely awkward when I first saw it and it needed time to settle.

Of course. When BMW does something, copycat Audi has to follow asap.
Well, at least the new X5 doesn't look like a bar of soap like your avarage Audi (SUV) :)
Why is Audi being brought up in the first place again? Could it be that Tumbo has arrived in thris thread???? Probably...

Too much X1. The tail lights wrap around with straight on top side wrap(straighter than X3) is new and looks weird. Like the front.

Maybe I'm biased as an owner of the current X5, but from the outside I'm not tempted one bit by this new generation. I'm guessing the interior will be more of a differentiating/enticing factor for an upgrade.
