 Now that's what I call the perfect wheel arch! And those wheels...:icondrool

One of those BMW's that is gonna turn out to be a must have:eusa_clap

Oh double drat. This thing's going to look fantastic. Sigh...

Just because there is a mule in blue it doesn't mean they will sell one in blue.

Incidentally, for the sake of clarification the car in blue isn't a mule - it's a prototype. Technically, the term mule is used for first phase testbeds - normally for engine and drivetrain components - which don't use any bodywork destined for the end product. Use it, don't use it :)

Blue one. So much for the only 3 colors rumor.
You think they'll offer it in blue with a black hood? ;)

I'd love to see a blue color for the 1M myself, but that won't happen. All we get is black, white and Valencia Orange.

The car was behind the stages at the Porte de Versailles expo, because it was brought to Paris for the presentation to BMW.Fr the night before the show opened. It is something of a tradition and I believe most manufacturers do so and show their distributor for that country , upcoming products that they will be responisible for marketing and selling to customers next year.

The 1M Coupe will now be on it's way to the UK.
Now that things have begun to move forward at a much quicker pace.
But I can announce that selected Journalists have driven a final prototype at Miramas and you should see the results by later this week or early next week.

The headlight is disguised because it shows the upcoming refresh or in BMW-speak "Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) that will apply to all 2011 BMW 1er Coupe and Cabrio models as well as the 1M Coupe.
We have been down this road before with the M3 GTS that was shown before the LCI of the Coupe and Cabrio and afterwards with the latest detail changes. The latest lightbars or eyebrows really add an evil appearance to the 1M Coupe.

The LCI of the BMW 1er Coupe and Cabrio and the 1M Coupe will be revealed in December.

*Jerez Black in dull light gives off a slight bluish approach to the color.

Great way to fix the 'eyes wide open' appearance of the 1er headlights! From what I'm imagining with these new lightbars/eyebrows, I'm sure it's gonna look menacing!

And the front and rear bumpers (from what we can see so far) look fantastic. A lot of interplay between shapes and lines, but it doesn't seem messy.

Looking good so far Captain! :usa7uh:

I thought Jerez Black isn't available for the 1M. :t-hands:

I hope not, and I hope it isn't the only black available as of the 3 colours so far touted, that (Jet Black) was going to be my choice!

I thought Jerez had a purple tinge anyway?

There will be only one black. It makes sense that they offer white and black in non-metallic (Alpine White, Jet Black) and Valencia Orange as the only metallic color. Jerez Black on the other hand is metallic and M-exclusive, so that makes sense too. Damn, now I'm confused. :D

Not sure it's great fun but I understand the build-up with this car in particular. So far, it looks completely outrageous in every way, very much a throw-back if you will. An old-school BMW, love it.
