Concept BMW Concept Active Tourer

Future car concepts, design studies, upcoming tech, and what may come next
I'm sorry but saying these two cars are similar is like saying that any two coupés are similar.

It absolutely baffles me that anyone who frequently visits car forums the KIA and 1GT are similar.
You're 100% spot on Hussein. That said, there are some definite design features that resemble eachother. Most notable that shape in the lower doors....

My comment was very tongue in cheek but that said there's a lot of similarities and to say otherwise is amazing.

P.S.
BTW not all coupe look alike, neither do estates, SUVs or saloon cars.;)

Of course its not a copy. Sure some things look the same but many cars share the same design elements. But it doesnt mean its a copy. Like hussein said, those two cars was presented almost the same time and a final design isn't decided over a night.

If we are going to discuss copies then discuss this....

Oh my GAWD :D

Nice E53 :(

Also, look at that logo in the upper left corner of the pic. Looks familiar too...

Copying is not bad if you can do better than the original. And that is the case of the 1er GT, but not of the K9.

What pricing can we expect ? :)
If it's more expensive than the 1er then... I'll simply hate it no matter how good it looks... FWD is appealing only when it comes cheap ;)

Well if the B-Class is more expensive than the A........ But think about it, you'll be getting a far more practical, better-looking ( which I think everyone feels ), lighter car, with a better range of engines:)

B-class base price in Germany is €1,500 - €2,500 higher than the price of comparable 5dr A-class.

So, we can expect ActiveTourer in the same price range as B-class - so with higher prices than 1er 5dr hatch.

Mind that BMW have had registered the 2 series Active Tourer trademark, and not eg. the 1 series Active Tourer. Perhaps that means the car will be marketed under 2er badge ... Who knows. ;)

You guys seem to forget that both the A-Class and B-Class are FWD.
Paying a premium for a FWD BMW over a RWD BMW ? Seems right ?
I like that car more than the 1er everything wise but the drive... and I care a lot about the drive especially when it comes to BMWs. In the end it's a sporty premium people mover with great BMW design but not a real BMW as the A-Class is not a real Mercedes in my eyes :)

PS: I love it but it has to be cheaper and that's all :)

Forget the drive layout ... next generation of 1er will be FWD, so ... ;)

Then the drive layout won´t be that important anymore. What until now it used to be a sacrilege (MB and Audi having FWD cars) and just discarted every MB or VAG 1er competitors for not having RWD, won´t matter when BMW launches its FWD 1er, as it will be better than the unnecessary RWD.
