BMW 7er appeal

Why isn't the BMW 7 series as appealing as an MB S class or Audi A8. I know the S class is king but why do a lot of people prefer the A8 or Jag XJ when it comes to alternatives...

Do you have worldwide sales number ? Because as long as I remember the 7-series is more popular than the A8 and the XJ...

Might have to do with the fact that it looks like a posh 3 series inside, and they want 150K for it?

To similar.

Mercedes did that with the W220 and Maybach.. people that pay more want something unique.

And no, ile go around and bitch as much as i want, just as KA and the others ruined the Mercedes Part of the forum.

Enjoy!

I don't know if you're talking about sales numbers, or general consensus. I personally think it's because they made it too close to the 5-Series this time around, and that the 5er coming 2 years after it is not only a more modern and refined take on the same design language, but it also literally has a nicer and more improved interior, not to mention improved tech (until 7er facelift I asssume).

BMW just made the lower priced offering too strong and close to the higher priced offering this time.

Still, I think the F01 is a great car, and was considering one, but the 5-Series is just more enticing and a far better value to boot..... which in a nutshell, explains what I was saying above, exactly.

The 3er shown is the high spec luxury line which borrows materials from the higher spec 7er as well as the intricate detailing. The 3er GT which is also imminent borrows this aswell to bring a new standard to the segment.

In the current scheme of things even with the decline of large premium sedans , the 7er remains the best selling car of the segment thanks to strong demand in the Middle-East, Russia , USA and The Asian market. But that market segment continues to shrink , yet SAVs are proving to be stronger as are luxury sedans such As the RR Ghost which the coupe is shown next month.

KA wanted to share his feelings with us. He was very dissapointed with the new e-class and other models. But you are bitching without a brain. You have choose three pictures with similar coloured interios and tell this is all the same interior.
I have found a picture off you.

So the 7er outsells the S worldwide? That's news to me. What's the problem then here then? That's a big feat to accomplish.

^I am very dissappointed with the similar looking BMW interiors.

Your brain has just presented us with a proof of its functionality by convincing your body to post that picture.
Fuctionality is below par.

To show you that color has nothing to do with my point.

Below you see similar colors, but 2 very different interiors:

Yes i agree it is a big feat to accomplish, especially in the 7th year of the W221s production.

What are you on about? The 3 interior looks NOTHING like the 5 and 7 interiors aside from the obvious family similarities.

It's the 5 and 7 interiors which are basically identical, with IMO the 5ers outshining the 7ers as it seems more refined in design and modernized of the same design language.

The S is only 2 years older than the 7, so it's not like we're talking a huge production time difference here. Notable indeed, but not extremely significant.

Looks to alike for my liking, and i dont want to be associated with the 5 when i buy a 7er either.
3 or 5 doesent matter. The 7er is to bland when it comes to the interior.

No its actually 3 years older, which means half a life cycle.

The picture have nothing to do with my brain. I have small sisters and they act like you when someone annoyes they. Mercedes interios are different, Yes. But I don´t know if you understand that Mercedes is going the same way (Look at the pictures below). Mercedes is going the Revolution way and BMW the evolution way, this will change too and then BMW will surely satisfy you and dont will be so much similar.
