Bentley by far. Between the Final Edition Arnage, Azure T, the darling Brooklands and the new Mulsanne, Rolls doesn't compare..for me. That said the Phanton Drophead Coupe is still the best luxury convertible on earth and probably the best example of sheer craftsmanship on 4 wheels and thus a must have also. Brand though, its Bentley for me. All they have to do now is re-design the ugly flying brick series of cars.

As the ultimate British luxury brand it's RR hands down, but it is Bentley that is definitely better suited to my taste.I'm just more attracted to their design and cars like arnage T and Brooklands are just to die for.

If you are asking what 'best fits me', it is neither. Both are big, ponderous and ostentatious.

This is the only Bentley which looks good.

RR has better design but its still twisted to put so much money on cars like these. Unbelievable in my world.

Well if you have $347 Million to your name, then it's not an issue. I am rather suprised to see you say the Continental GT is the only good looking Bentley.

Especially considering the Bentley Brooklands is present.

As far as Rolls-Royce, is it only their design or is something else about it that makes you prefer it over Bentley?

I hate the flying spur, but ain't nothing touching the Brooklands. I also love the Mulsanne.

HighestOfHigh's vote

Bentley: If you had asked me in the late 90's, I would have gladly told you that Bentley was second best to my all time favorite Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph. As time has moved on Bentley has truly grown on me. Just seeing the Arnage T on the streets gave me an appreciation for its outstanding road presence and authoritative stance. The Mulsanne is an outstanding new Bentley. For what I have seen in the photos, it has the right to be the new King Bentley. The design is more modern, but stays focused on it's British Roots. The Brooklands is an absolute work of art in all respects. It truly shows what a true coupe should look like. It's design is simply marvelous. The Azure is simply too cool for words. The Flying Spur doesn't have same level of Excellence as the Arnage/Muslanne family, but it still is a hot seller for Bentley as well as the GT. Although they aren't my favorites, they have been very profitable for Bentley. They are a welcome for anyone with money that wants to be different from the everyday S-class and 7 series.

Rolls-Royce: Back in the day Rolls-Royce could do no wrong. They were simply flawless. I wouldn't even dare look at a Benz over a Rolls (back then). It is unfortunate, that I still can't get pass the BMW ownership. Some how it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time. On the other hand the current Rolls-Royce cars can not be mistaken for any other car on the road. They have a very bold and highly noticeable presence on the road, which is pretty much unmatched. Then again there are reasons why.... The Phantom, it is a very "IN YO FACE" design, but the car lacks sleekness. It's almost like it gave up on elegance for boldness. Then it seems as though the whole Rolls-Royce line up got the cookie cutter boxy design. The cars are in no way ugly, it's just the overall shape lacks imagination and creativity for a car on this level. The Ghost interior is very welcoming, but the Phantom still has a very boat- spaced out interior. This unfortunately looks tacky in some ways.

Results: I will always miss the old Rolls-Royce, but the new Bentleys have found a special place in my heart. With the Brooklands and Mulsanne present, I have no other choice, but to pick Bentley

Fantastic post Hoh!!! For me it's Bentley here!! Absolutely love their cars, they are full of emotions and heritage! The beautifly combines technology and modernity with old classy british design…especially the Arnage…not much technology but even more elegance and presence. The perfect car and most beautiful ever made!!

Lol,well that applies to all of us,but the Q is if u had to choose which would be more "friendly" to ur taste?:D

Well, the OP said 'what best fits you'. But if you put it that way and I had to choose, I will choose Brooklands. I started liking the Mulsanne in some of the colors over the Ghost. But other times it is still very gawdy and baroque and old school for my taste, so it is really a toss up between the two. Phantom is just too big for me to ever want one. But I wish RR made the Phantom coupe/drophead with the Ghost engine, that would have been great.

And last but not least, isn't it sad that even Mercedes fans don't put Maybach in the same list with these two anymore.

^the MM is played out..
And everyone knows it.. even MB fans..

I hope they come back with something spectacular..but until then..they do not deserve to be in a poll like this..

On the other hand im surprised that RR is winning here..i would have thought BMW fans would vote bentley without hesitation..
Given their rants about DRIVING.. and sporty..and dynamics..
If there is any dynamism in these 2 fat ass brands..its in bentley..
You almost look stupid driving a RR..

I mean the ultimate DRIVING machine crowd suddently became passangers..:)..

"Poll" Question/Statement: The Best British Ultra-Luxury Car Brand!!!!

The Polls for all three has already been done - http://www.germancarforum.com/internal-combustion/30397-maybach-vs-bentley-vs-rolls-royce.html

On the other hand im surprised that RR is winning here..i would have thought BMW fans would vote bentley without hesitation..

I have a feeling that has to do with BMW ownership.

Honestly Rolls-Royce is closer related to Mercedes and Bentley to BMW.

Rolls and Mercedes-Benz concentrate more on luxury features and sophistication.

BMW and Bentley are more on performance and sport.

On the other hand, BMW fans see the Rolls-Royce as now their teammate. They must support Rolls-Royce at all cost. Of course when the Rolls-Royce Seraph was around, they were no where to be found.

Bentley for me. Their cars are just stunning, I love the Continental and the Mulsanne, both are beautiful. I just don't like the way RRs look...

In some cases they seem a little chubby especially when compared to the Bentleys. That takes away from there supposed elegance. Plus it seems like the rear lights have just been smacked on the rear.

And I guess the reason why you or other MB ans who raves about comfort voted for Bentley has nothing to do with RR being owned by BMW? Stop acting holier than thou, you are as far from it. :)

Anyway, anyone who votes for these cows cause of their dynamic prowess needs to get thier head examined.

4 me ...
20s Audi
30s BMW
40s Mercedes
50s Bentley
60s Rolls Royce
:eusa_clap

But seriously though, I while I like the Bentleys overall cos they are more youthful,
I could never pick one over the Phantom Drophead Coupe
