Do you know which one you want?

I'll just wait for the new S63 .....thanks.
Not in this company, Rob. The FS is already a little too "AMG" for me - if I'm going down this road then I want maximum waft!
Also for me, as well built as the W223 may be on the inside, it lacks one key element - the impression of craftsmanship. One just has to compare these two interiors and the sense of opulence and exclusivity is far ahead of that of the S Class. Great to have a post from you!

Every time I see that Bentley I am reminded of the giant cheap fake plastic grille.

HARD PASS. Still looks like a modded VW.

In isolation the Flying Spur is a great looking car, next to the Ghost it looks slightly fussy... I reminded of what G-wag said of Mercedes' sensual purity design language, and while I don't think the Ghost is at all sensual, it looks far purer, and less compromised. Having said that, I still haven't warmed to the front of the Ghost, that slight cheeky-squint the headlamps have still doesn't work for me.

The Ghost gets it for the V12, but if it were decided on a coin toss, I don't think I'd be upset with either outcome.

The flying spur is unappologetically bland. However it a versatile car with an expressive exterior that can easily be toned down depending on how you spec it.

Ah well, you see Martin, I'm a simple man ....with modest requirements :D

Having driven both; I’ll take the Flying Spur please and thank you.
I saw you lurking in this thread and was hoping you'd post as there are few people's opinions on luxury cars I take more seriously than yours. I've only ever driven the current W12 Conti GT and that was imperious. But I honestly expect the Ghost II to be even more cosseting and even more insulating. I assume that the FS sits somewhere in between and will never get the chance to driver a new Ghost. I'd love to hear more of your insight as to your choice.

Thanks mate. One of these days I've type up a detailed compare/contrast review.

In sum the FS has a very dynamic driver-oriented feel and the interior quality is best under a million in my opinion for a new car. The Ghost is very nice, but it's lacking a certain lust factor that the previous Ghost had 10 years ago (at that time it was the IT quarter million luxury saloon despite it's F01 bones). The interior also didn't captivate me like it should have.
