If I care about laptimes I buy a AMG or a M. S600 accelerate faster than the others which help to improve the laptime. Audi had higher speed through the cones in the slalom test.

Audi didnt won just because it didnt wont the most head-categories. In every head-category there are several subcategories. In all these sub-categories Audi is keeping a high level which make the car a winner. Audi got better total scores than the two others, another reason why the car wins this comparison.

I dont find this test more retarded than any other test. Only people with problems are those who cant handle to see their favorite car to loose.

I've looked through this magazine this afternoon.
I was quite suprised by the outcome.
Also I didn't expect that BMW would end 3rd in the driving dynamics.
Audi A8 gained alot of points in Environmental/Costs and Driving dynamics part of the test.
Ah well.....we all have our choices.

all latest 7er reviews shows the same thing, 7er has better comfort than driving dynamics. I think BMW changed their mind about this segment. Comforts is more important than driving dynamics in the luxury segment. Buy a AMG or M if you want a car with good driving dynamics.

BTW How come that MB has the worst brakes? Does it have to do with weight?

I think so. All other 7er models have new engines excpet for 760...

If you ask me that makes perfect sense. First of all, I'm sure that V12 are not exactly cheap to manufactor or design. If you think about it, the only car that uses the V12 is the 7er. No point in redesigning the engine too often as only one car will get it. Besides, these V12s are not where the major part of the market is anyway.

it sounds very right. All latest german comparions shows that 7er become more comfortable since the facelift than the pre-face. And to be honest, isnt that what matters in the luxury segment?
