Lol, are the expectations of MB fan boys so low they are happy with the latest AMG being as essentially fast as 5 year old M? C63 is much faster than .01 secs than E46 M3. And I bet E55 was also faster by a bigger margin than that over E39M5. And yea, .01 secs is a wash, doesn't matter what cars are involved.

Taking into consideration that E63 is 10 times more comfortable and was slower in acceleration from 0 to 100... than yes! Fanboys should be happy.;):D

No we just think it's funny that after hearing BMW fans crying about every BMW being the best thing on the track. Too see a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rip that thought is an absolute pleasure.

So now Benz has the best luxury, most powerful (65 AMG) and now their even the best on the TRACK! So until the next M5 comes out Mercedes Loyalist can stay cocky!

Not to break the party but in Autobild comparison the M5 beat the new E63 around the track :banana::D
 
Seems like some inconsistency going on. Either way one test is enough to stop all the "BMW is better on the track" conversation.

In your book BMW will always be better then Benz. My book says the opposite. I doubt things will ever change.

The car that should get lots of credit is the Panamera. Both bmw fans and MB fans should be more impressed by the Panamera, 2-3 sec difference is huge. Panamera is in its own league for the moment. Not even those brand new E63/RS6 can touch the car. But why does the Panamera looks like an alien sitting on a egg otherwise the car would be perfect.
 
^Yes, the Porsche is amazing. I still don't understand why they put it on a lower level though. The Porsche Panamera is more on the 7, A8 and S level. I guess because of similar power though. :t-hands:

XFR

body, interior space, interior quality, luggage space etc etc:
Winner: Panamera, RS6 (tie)

travelling comfort, seat comfort, interior noises, suspension etc etc:
Winner: XFR

engine and transmission, acceleration, fuel consumption, run culture, gearbox etc etc
Winner: Panamera


driving dynamics, handling, slalom, steering, brakes, traction etc etc
Winner: Panamera

environment & cost, base price, Depreciation,Workshop costs etc etc:
Winner: XFR



Conclusion:
As expected the Panamera is the sportiest car but it also convince beyond that, its civil and doing well in many categories. RS6 score with it power, space and dynamic. E63 is more driver focused than ever and is no longer the most comfortable car, XFR is better in this area. M5 with the best steering feedback and still drives very well but we are waiting impatiently for the next M5.

I long for the Panamera as well until I see the side profile, shake my head and convince myself that the E class looks mighty fine... ;)
