Both cars are pretty sick. I'll take a rain check on the second gen Cayenne. It's smaller and seems to have better proportions.

So you have driven the car and honestly say this is the truth?

No but I can read. Not a single review have been positive over X6M. And please tell me how a car that weight over 2000kg and with air resistance like a brick can be fun, so far I havent driven a fun SUV and when I read the reviews about X6M then it not exactly strenghten my opinion about a X6M.

Obviosly some people here can see the fun with a SUV, I don't.

You want to have fun in an SUV? Get yourself a Land Rover, Jeep or Landcruiser, modify them a little bit and take those off-roading. That is the only time to have "Fun" in an SUV...well that or bang a partner of the opposite sex in the back (or same, if that's your thing, I don't judge), but that's besides the point. :D

Sure, these newer SUV's might be more fun to drive on the road than a GMC Yukon but that's hardly mind boggling as seeing that these are NOWHERE near as comfy. In all honesty, SUV's serve very few purposes and that is to carry a family from point a to point b or to carry a whole lot of stuff if you don't want a pickup.

In my opinion those two are absolutely overdone! :D

I know Christian (thought the same, when I post this: "well christian would say, they are already overdone!") :D

You would go for a ML 280 CDI (is it called 300 CDI know?!?!) or 350 CDI.

Love the Q7!

But I couldn't resist a Range Rover Vogue 4.2 Supercharged:bowdown:

If I was buy an SUV i'd at least want something capable of off-roading even with road tires and well you can't get better than a RR:cool:

Yes you can: Mercedes G...

My choice BTW, a G55 AMG (not the 2009 though, I slightly prefer the old grille and wheels). I voted for the Cayenne, didn't see you could choose another.

The BMW X6 xDrive35d, perfect engine in a nice shell.

LOL, no way. a 6 cylinder diesel is far, far from the perfect engine in this car. X6 class cars need a V8 period. Either the 407 hp, 450 hp or 550 hp version. Plenty of choice.

And I've recently and extensively driven the Range Rover Vogue TDV8 with it's crappy 280 hp, and it's a slow ass 2600 kg monster without any fun whatsoever.

Obviosly some people here can see the fun with a SUV, I don't.

Unlike you, some people here ARE able to actually drive all those SUVs (like me).
You don't see the fun because you haven't experienced a Cayenne GTS, let alone an X6 M....just reading some reviews isn't going to cut it.

Hehe, well the Range Rover isn't build for fun, but for cruising and long distance traveling…and in my opinion it's just perfect for that type of driving.

Completely forgot about the G55!

It would be a tough choice between a G55 and a RR..

Don't make me choose between them:D

I am with klier, big V8 petrol engines are the best option for these SUVs. Nor even the V8 diesels ala 4.0 TDI or 420 CDI, nor the xDrive35d are performance engines. If you want a daily drive, the 320 CDI or the xDrive30d are just fine, but I would like a performance SUV I would go for the X6 M, even not being a true M car, and if the pre-FL ML63 AMG was still on sale, would go for it, just the nicest SUV I´ve ever seen.

True. I must say is a crazy comfortable car, and the suspension is so fully adjustable, it's not even funny anymore :D
It has more comfort features than any Cayenne, that's for sure. But a Cayenne or X6 cannot even be called SUVs next to it when comparing driving dynamics.

You're right!! Comparing the sportiness of a Range Rover with a X6/Cayenne - well, the RR has to fail badly… :D

Out of the two I would go with the Porsche. Even though I'm not a huge fan of it's looks, it does look more sporty and more masculine then the Audi Q7. For some reason, in those photos the Q7 looks like a mini-van in training.

If I was simply looking to purchase a SUV, I would probably go for a Range Rover, MB GL550, Infiniti FX or Lincoln Navigator.

Okay so I have made up my mind..
I will vote for the Cayenne cause she is like the
mother of all preformance SUV's out there..

I adore the PorscheCayenneTurboS (no not the others)
This machine drives much better than my GTI and it is faster too.
This SUV is amazing and if you ever get the chance to test one.
I know you will agree, ps: I have driven by my self (not only co-pilot)
The G55 AMG it is a very funny and high sounding machine...
but it is simply not a drivers car..

Congrats to Porscha!
