A3/S3/RS3 Audi RS3 (Spy pics & info)

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured by Audi AG. Production: 1996-
The grill is not the usual RS black mesh grill, but the metal grill found in S cars.

So, is that the real deal?

No. This car was spotted some time ago outside the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt in one of the parking spaces in front of the building known as A51, right across from the Museum Mobile. This is where board members often park and thus a constant source of interesting customised or experimental Audis. This latest 'S3' looks suspiciously like the blue 'RS3' mules that were seen testing at the Nurburgring last year, but there have been several reports that this car is more than likely a next-gen MQB platform A3 test mule with an 8P S3 body.

All informed opinion suggests there won't be an RS3 based on the current 8P A3.

what the hell is "ecodriven"?

Ecodriven? hahahah :jpshakehe :D

Already posted by me a long time ago. Funny how you get three thanks and I only one, even it's old info and already posted. Oh well :p

You feel like nobody trusts you ?
:) well I do.
so Thanks for writing and pointing out that I support you!

since when this car has been rumored ? if I am not mistaken at least 4-5 years.

The A3 is a personality less car and as a result, an RS3 would sell in very small volumes. Audi don't need an RS version of every car.

From Autozeitung - RS3 - coming 2011 according to AZ.

I think the opposite. I am pretty sure that if and when it comes it will probably be the most popular RS model, due to it's price and praticality.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
