Okay people...
When I logged on this morning, and saw the official pics of the A5, I was like "WOW, it's finally here"
You know, lately after seen the models S8, S6, TT, S3 and especially R8, I went like
But now... That
Believe it or not..I'm disapointed. My first thought were the front and rear lights. Front is to "corny". The lights should have more smooth lines then that. And the rear... Sorry but I see a BMW 3-series in there. And one thing I don't want to see in an Audi is something from a BMW.
The only two great things I see so far in this car is the side profile and the interior. Nobody beats Audi in the interior still. And I like the new rims too.

Mixed feelings, need to see the car for a definite opinion. But this is certainly not the best design of Mr DaSilva.

Looks not so good in photos - WILL Look like a true Killer & Exclusive Car in real life!
I love this photo.. The Profile , The Rims , The Coupe Line - I think I will love it when I finally can touch it, smell it , feel it..

Overall, First Verdict:
It's like Audi told us, Bentley Lines!
I must say it's wrong to compare it to the Nuvolari (Nuvolari is the BEST)
The overhang is little - Good
The interior is Audi class / work of art.
The overall bodyline is great..

Why ?
Because it's a Audi with soul and passion!

Note to audi..dont bang your drum to hard.. for gods sake..this is the most bland and boring coupe ive seen sience the 80´s or something coming from germany..
Front is robbed of a A6 and then there has been a failed attempt to make it agressive..they just ended up with foglights like the eyes of a dinosaur..very disturbing..
Rear OMG could it be more boring.. looks like a FL 7er.. in some ways.. and very short and FAT.. not coupe like and elegant
The profile is the most disturbing.. WHAT is this car? a coupe or a hatchback..the sideprofile says hatchback.. with its over wide pillar..

Just look at the line from the headlights to the real lights. All the latest designs have a straight line there, or one with a very very small curve. Now, this one is like mister DaSilva was a bit drunk. But it looks good
The interior is pretty much classic Audi style. Many buttons, driver oriented and always with much much black plastic, thing i have got really bored off. Com' on Audi, bring us something new! Oh, i also hate those bottle holders thing, that scream cheapness and lack of ideas on what to do. Just cover them like everyone else!
Other than that, pretty cool design, a car that the Audi range missed. I'm sure it will sell very good, but i still prefer the 3er

Wow, cheers for being honest. I know how much you were looking forward to this car. First impression was pretty bad to be honest. As soon as I saw the first picture, I thought of A8 headlights, when really I was expecting something a bit more stylish such as the R8's or the TT's. For me personally, my favorite part of an Audi's front fascia is the headlight and this one fails to impress. Rear is so so. Profile I kind of like, just because it is a bit different.
First impression of the exterior, I rate it at 7.5/10.... maybe a 7.
Interior on the other hand, blows everything away.

Haha, I had the same feeling as well, but didn't really want to say it. When they were going about saying they reinvented the Coupe, I was seriously expecting something as crazy as the R8 (wishful thinking). The R8 brought Audi into the map because they showed that they can design exciting new cars that just look different from everything else. The A5 is kind of a step backwards compared to what the R8 has done

I'm also disappointed when I see the official pictures of Audi's new coupe 
. I hoped it would have inherited the looks of the Audi Nuvolari concept, which IMO was a stunning design. But now they come up with a swoopy line in the profile of the car, which doesn't suit an Audi coupe at all. Also, the curve of the side window lining doesn't resemble the stretched and elegant shape of - let's say - a Mercedes CL. Instead, they give us something BMW 1er like, a profile that immediately reminds of a hatchback, like many said before. Even the BMW E93 looks more elegant than this . The biggest let-down IMO is the front of the car. Those head lights look much too big and squarish! The light fittings on the inside of the head lights are obviously taken from the Audi TT, together with the curved LED tube seen first on the R8. In this case however, they are incorporated in a sort of squarish box, nothing slim, nothing special, nothing that suits an elegant coupe. The A6 head lights are even better than these, as they are more rounded! And have you noticed the side mirrors? They seem to come from the Q7, pretty big, but maybe I should see the car in real life before judging about that.
The rear is a mix of a Lexus LS460 and a few styling cues from the latest BMWs (3er coupe, 7er FL). The rear lights could also be seen as something between the rear lights of an Audi A6 and an Audi A8. They suit the car to a certain point, but they lack the detail and elegance that I would have expected from Audi.
The interior is really nice (fit&finish, materials), although I think the central console is too much cluttered with buttons? Really like the seats and alu trim on the console and doors... here you find the elegance that is missing on the outside... Rims are superb too, on par with the best wheel designs of BMW.
Overall, major disappointment exterior-wise judging from these pictures (hope I change my mind), everything like it should be on the inside

Actually don't like it at all. The rear reminds me of a toyota/Lexus, the front design seems to have gone backwards and looks dated already. I also don't really like the curving beltline.
Also on the interior, don't talk to me about the black plastic in the C Class, this out does it by a mile.
I have to hold final observations till I see it in person, but right now I am not that impressed.
