Vs 2014 Merc S63 vs. Alpina B7 xDrive vs. Audi S8

^its not..but then again we do not know the exact spec of that car..how its tuned..how many hp..
Maybe its to much..and it slips at those speeds even..

Its very unscientific to be honest..

700hp Brabus cars are often not that remarkably faster than their 5-600hp AMG counterparts..

Right so those numbers are for a RWD S63?...
Well it doesent take a rocket scientist to understand that the 4 matic will be faster than the S8 then..
God damn it benek!.. i got served again.. why did i even engage in a conversation.. :D

^Guys until you compare both in stock form side by side all you are doing with these vids is seeing who's d1ck is the biggest.

No one knows for sure these cars in these vids have the output stated.

The S63 suits my taste and style more, so I'd choose the Mercedes.

However, after my driving experiences a couple a weeks ago with the A8 (3.0 TDI, not a S8) my sympathy for this car has has been growing very much. I like the new styling of the exterior, escpecially rearside of the car. The drive has improven. The safety features, like stop-and-go, are working very well. A very close second.
The BMW 7 series, which a drove last wednesday in a longversion, was quite a dissappointment after S Klasse and A8. Without wanting to provoke, but in my opinion the 7-er lacks style and (interior)quality compared to the other two.

Which is the fastest? I think a close call between S63 4-matic and S8. Probably also depends on the driver and his/her driving skills.

EDIT Just saw I gave allready an opinion in the past. It proves personal preferences can change in time :-)

Roll racing is done specifically to take the launch out of the equation, if done at a high enough speed where there won't be wheel spin or tc interference. The S8 does not have the advertised 520hp. Everyone knows that. You're looking at 570hp+. Neither does the 5.5L biturbo from Benz. As we all know (from DeDe's awesome torque graphs and illustrations) there are thousands of variables that go into why a car is as fast as it is. There's no way to go into detail about all the different reasons why the S8 was faster in this instance so I'll leave it at that: In the end they are both very quick cars and are very close in straight line performance. So close that we're arguing for pages. If you like the S63 more - cool. If you like the S8 more - also cool. Living with an S8 for a couple of days was pure bliss and I'd give my left nut to own either one.

And we have a bidder on that left nut..

The best performance times for the S8 D4:

-0-60 mph in 3.5 s.
-0-100 kph in 3.8 s.
-0-200 kph in 13.1 s.
-1/4 mile in 11.8 s.

Lets wait times for the facelift S8 ;)

This! Both cars are crazy stupid fast for big luxury barges. Which is .2 secs faster is pointless and yet there are pages of crap about this, of course fueled by Artist's daily fix of feeling good by dumping on other cars.

:D haha.. yes that fix..

^Are you suggesting that the FL S8 will be even quicker?

Well, why not. It's also (FL S8) faster by the factory than the older one (S8 D4), so why it isn't faster also performance-tests. Well, not going be a huge difference in the tests.

Unless they give it more power I doubt it can be any quicke

Maybe I missed something but there has only been one D4 S8 and that's the one introduced last year in 2012, sure they dropped the old 4.2FSI for the much faster 4.0TFSI but this was the regular A8. I just can't see Audi doing anything to the current S8 prior to the model change in like 2016 or something.
