Vs 2014 Merc S63 vs. Alpina B7 xDrive vs. Audi S8

I'm sure we will get a comparison by a leading magazine soon: S63 4Matic, new FL S8, XJR and B7. There isn't a loser in the bunch really. That the German cars are just better at the technical aspect than the Jaguar, is the only thing that jumps out at me really.

Just paired up 2013 S8 and 2014 S63 on the airstrip. It's official: S8 keeps the seat of fastest in the bunch. From a standstill it wasn't even a race. Other runs we let the S63 spool up and sprint from 25 all the way to 145. Closer but still not as fast as S8. B7 isn't close to either one so didn't bother to comment on that one ;-)

Doesn't surprise me. Nothing touches the S8 in this class. Nothing. When it comes to performance.
Maybe it's time for MB fanboys like @LaArtist to wake up and face the reality.

2014 S63 is a lot faster according to this video.

A stage 3 S65 (700hp) has a hard time with a stock S8 from a rolling start, and gets murdered from a stand still.

Yeah thats the thing.. ok i know that the bought in gearbox in the Audi is faster..

But there is a 65hp and 250nm advantage for the S, and only 5kg in weight difference.

I see it very unlikely that the S8 ( both AWD) is faster.. how do you make up all that difference in power?

Its not like it has the Xtrac tranny from the Huayra.. its just a normal off the bottom shelf ZF

Um that's due to the S65 being rwd.. im talking AWD v AWD.. ofcourse its a killer from zero..

0-200kph: S63 13.2, S8 13.1
0-400m: S63 12.17, S8 11.8

There is a video of the new CLS63 AMG PP vs the S8, and it gets beaten from the start, but is faster at speeds. But not much. And how much more does the S63/65 weigh then the CLS63?
