lol I just think BMW's interior design has never been better in it's history. I really truly love it.
This new A8 looks great too! It's like night and day with the previous A8.

I absolutely agree that the F10 interior looks outstanding, dare I say a little Audi like even (the Aluminum under the wood trim for instance, nice touch). Love the new high-end leather upgrades also. A quantum leap over the E60 IMO.

But the new A8 raises the bar even higher. As some have pointed out, maybe it will cost an arm and a leg to get all the upgrades. In the USA however, the S Class comes at quite a premium, so there is room to option-up the A8. The new A8 is growing on me in general, it looks very "regal".

Just saw it in person this weekend, it is a boring/bland/forgettable design at best. It looks like bloated A4 in pics, but in person it is even more forgettable. Now the interior on the other hand will easily be the best in the segment. Easily.

How could they messed it up like that? It was stunning, even in its last years, and now that... Even with the nice interior (bar the ugly screen, and some dubious-looking grey plastics) I can't get past the bland, boring, ungainly interior.

Not that it looks bad (the lights are ugly though), but it doesn't look good at all either... Boring, bland, anonymous.

I doubt it'll be much different IRL unfortunately...

IMO...form a 'BMW enthusiast perspective'...the F01 has many followers and MANY are from people who loves their Merc's and Audi's. A great balanced design and it has presence!

Audi A8: The new one has PRESENCE, a lovely interior and the design is also balanced. The car is NOT what Martin Winterkorn promised in terms of styling, a nice sleek sporty design YES! Though its is VERY evolutionary and does look very A4'ish wich is not a good thing.
I must be honest...in the end previous A8 buyers and current owners WILL buy A8 again not the F01 or S-class are that much better overall to persuade them A8 owners otherwise.
Least I like is the Headlights...sis man! and the dashboard upper half is very 'bland' and the trim running through from left to right in the middle of the dash in 'alluminum' looks f-ken cheap! ...Thus get wood trim! Thats my only critisizem...All 3 Germans has their own unique 'thing' and non of them are or could ever be bad cars - the choice and the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder AND the guy/girl who writes and signs the check!

I posted this earlier....And what I hear is that the interior in standard spec is NOT what people would expect...

Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, I think its predecessor is one of the most mind-numbingly boring cars ever designed.

Beautiful & sleek machine... the more I see it, the more I like it. And imo, it's about time, people will start liking it too!
