Data from the Porsche 911 RSR transferred in milliseconds
The Porsche works team sends two 911 RSR to tackle the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC at Spa-Francorchamps on 1 May. The successful team of the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer faces unique conditions in Belgium’s Ardennes region. No other racetrack apart from Le Mans is as long (7.004 kilometres), as undulating (with an elevation change of 100 metres), and as diverse in its challenging mix of high-speed passages and spectacular corners with extreme lateral acceleration. Porsche takes up the hunt for the 2021 title at endurance classic
The Porsche works team tackles the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa-Francorchamps on 1 May with two 911 RSR racers. For Estre (France), who had already dazzled at Friday’s qualifying with a record lap, this marks the second win in a row at the six-hour race in Belgium. Jani triumphed at his first outing with the Porsche GT Team. The sister car driven by their brand colleagues Richard Lietz (Austria) and Gianmaria Bruni (Italy) crossed the finish line in fifth place after a difficult race. In sunny conditions and temperatures of around ten degrees Celsius, Estre left no doubt of his intention to secure another victory at Spa right from the start. The 2018 Le Mans class winner fended off his rivals’ attacks...

The countdown is on: the final round of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup (PESC) season takes place this Saturday on the digital version of the Grand Prix circuit at Monza. Thanks to his tenth win of the season, the 21-year-old again convincingly claimed his second title after 2019 in the global championship run on the iRacing simulation platform. “Josh” Rogers’ teammate Mitchell deJong from the USA secured vice-champion honours. Britain’s Charlie Collins finished the sprint race in second place behind Dayne Warren (DirectForce Pro) and thus rounded off a dream result for the Virtual Racing School squad. The Australian Emily Jones (@Emree) pocketed the title of the All-Stars, a line-up of high-ranking esports influencers. Porsche...
Warming up for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland
Since it launched in 1990, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland has not only been regarded as an important ‘talent factory’ in motorsport, but also as the fastest domestic racing series in German-speaking countries. Ahead of the 2021 season debut of the latest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, the teams head to the Nürburgring to spend 48 hours getting to know their new steed. As fog drifts over the Nürburgring, a shaft of sunlight breaks through and bathes the legendary race track in a mystical light. At first there appears to be nothing unusual about this fresh Tuesday morning – but then the Carrera Cup Deutschland team trucks start to roll into the paddock and within minutes the atmosphere is buzzing. The garages are set up and the new...
TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team aims to continue upward trend in Valencia
After a strong performance in Rome, where Pascal Wehrlein secured the first podium result of the season in the Porsche 99X Electric, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team wants to underscore its positive progress with another top result in Valencia. In dry weather, his teammate Pascal Wehrlein (GER) took the flag in 18th at the wheel of the second Porsche 99X Electric. This was Porsche’s second podium result of the season after Rome in the world’s first electric racing series, which is contested by twelve teams. After six races, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team currently ranks sixth in the team classification. Setting his second-fastest time in the Super Pole qualifying, André Lotterer (GER) should have started from the first grid...
TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team aims to build on positive season-opener
After the season kicked off with two spectacular night races in Diriyah, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to Rome on 10/11 April. Given the limited travel options due to the pandemic, the FIA and Formula E have decided to hold another doubleheader event in the Eternal City – and again at the next round in Valencia on 24/25 April. In the fight for the Super Pole, Pascal Wehrlein left a strong impression with the third quickest time. In the early stages of the race, he moved into second place with the Porsche 99X Electric and, with a thrilling overtaking manoeuvre, took the lead shortly afterwards. This was the first lap at the front of the field for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. On the 3.385-kilometre street...
Motorsport loses a top female ambassador
With the passing of Sabine Schmitz, motorsport has not only lost a Nordschleife icon: the opening round of Nürburgring Endurance Series underlined just how much the versatile racing driver is missed. With her cheerful and quick-witted manner, she inspired many people on and off the racetrack. Overwhelming grief and dismay was felt around the world: Sabine Schmitz, the ‘Queen of the Nordschleife’, has passed away. After a long fight against cancer, the disease claimed her life much too early at the age of just 51. With her irrepressible zest for life, which she called on in her battle against the disease to the very end, the news came as a shock to many. It has been a long time since saying farewell to a racing driver has touched the...
Two wins at Spa puts Sebastian Job back into the title fight
Sebastian Job has given his title defence project a real boost with two wins at the seventh of ten race weekends of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup (PESC). The British driver from the Red Bull Racing Esports team demonstrated his extensive experience in both the sprint and the main race on the 7.004-kilometre Grand Prix circuit in Spa-Francorchamps and harvested almost the maximum number of points. After becoming entangled in another’s competitor’s collision in the sprint race, championship leader Joshua Rogers (Virtual Racing School) was unable to achieve better than 13th place in the main event. However, the Australian managed to defend his convincing lead in the global esports championship run on iRacing’s simulation...
