Munich. For the first time ever, the entire BMW Art Car Collection will be reunited at home in Munich. Titled “BMW ART CARS – 20 ARTISTS, 50 YEARS OF INNOVATION. As the BMW Group systematically advances the digitalisation of its production processes, Plant Leipzig is introducing a terahertz-based measurement system for plastic exterior components in series production. Fast, simple, transparent: BMW turns the car into a credit card for public charging
Munich. The BMW Group is further simplifying public charging of its electric vehicles and setting a new standard for convenience and user-friendliness. Since March 16th, customers in Germany have been able to charge their all-electric BMW or MINI directly at public DC charging points using Plug & Charge - without the need for a prior charging contract. The credit card on file with BMW or MINI is used for this: After logging in with the corresponding customer ID in the vehicle, it automatically authenticates itself at the charging station when plugged in and the charging process starts immediately. Successful market launch for Neue Klasse: BMW Group posts significant first-quarter growth in European new orders
Munich. Driven by very strong customer interest in the first Neue Klasse model, the BMW iX3*, the BMW Group recorded a significant increase in incoming orders for fully-electric vehicles in Europe in the first quarter of 2026. From January to March, new BEV orders rose by around 40% year-on-year.
