C-Class W204 W204 in my future?

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) is the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It was manufactured and marketed by Mercedes-Benz in sedan/saloon (2007–2014), station wagon/estate (2008–2014) and coupé (2011–2015) bodystyles, with styling by Karlheinz Bauer and Peter Pfeiffer. The C-Class was available in rear- or all-wheel drive, the latter marketed as 4MATIC. The W204 platform was also used for the E-Class Coupé (C207).
I think you did the right thing..
The SL is nearing its end..and you will get decent cash for it now..

The C class no one can complain about..its a brilliant car..and something in between..
Until you get the next S class or SL:D

Congrats on your new car, Jack!! Can'T wait to see stunning photography of this little great looking Merc!!

Many happy miles with it and goodbye to your SL!! Hope the SL will get another nice owner…

Hmmm...I wonder if I can get a good deal. :D

BTW...so i'm guessing you've made up your mind Jack?
Bellagio is as low as $149 on weekends and I am sure you can find under $100 at many strip properties.

Yeah... it's a done deal. I know the C350 is not a small S550 and I didn't look at it that way. Something different and I love MB and I love the delivery of a new car...:-) I want to enjoy them all as long as I can afford it...

Thanks ree...I am sure the new owner of the SL will love it and care for it.

As they say the "SL is dead, long live the C350." I love all my cars but do not become emotionally attached to them... I save that for all my women...:-)

Pictures will follow I am sure....

Congrats on the C350, Jack. :t-cheers:

I look forward to some of your departing shots of your SL550 and the newbie, the C350. Should be awesome coming from you!

Maybe one of these days you will visit me here in Europe and sample some of these. :D

Thanks wimmer... I guess that is a possibility but don't wait for my arrival date...:-)

The invitation is mutual... Vegas is cheap right now and if you rent a car in NY and drive to the West Coast... you will see what this great country has to offer in the way of scenery and driving pleasure. 2700 miles is probably several months of driving in EU..:-)

I hope to capture the delivery from the truck of the C350 and the pickup of he SL into the truck... should make for a nice series.

Come on guys. There is nothing worse than telling Jack he's downgrading.

He's simply going after a new vehicle which suits his current needs. Keep in mind he's got a wife and a new dog so I can imagine the SL550 is a little cramped. Besides, the new C-Class is an excellent car. There is no such thing as "downgrading" in this case. He's simply trying something new.

RESPECT HIS DECISION.

If Jack went from an R230 SL550 to a W203 C-Class, now that's downgrading. :D

Thanks wimmer. I lost my wife (but still have a female companion or two) so the space thing is still the major problem. They say the back seat is small so there will be no hanky panky there...:-) But the dog and a crate for him makes it absolutely essential to have some room.

Thanks again...

Wife

My wife passed away on November 21, 2004. We were married 46 wonderful years. I appreciate all of your condolences and kind words.

Time heals all wounds and trying out some new toys also helps on keeping busy, as does this and other forums.

Thanks all...:usa7uh::t-cheers:

We all respect his decision, no matter how wrong it is! HEHE:D J/K

Prediction... in a year the C350 will be gone and a new E550 coupe will be in it's place. Or maybe a E sedan since the coupe is based off the C.

One never knows.... do one...:-)

Though Jack I must say I don't see a trade down from a SL550 to a C350. I'd wait until July/August and get a new E550 myself.
